Re: VIC 20 book on Kickstarter
Well done Giacomo for reaching this point.
Having helped with the proof reading I already knew how good it was looking - now I can't wait to get my printed book.

Thanks for the link.
If you had put together the best bits of the 1977 Trinity you would have had a great machine.

Re: what's wrong with this program?
I *think* the problem is the way you are sending the command.
Try
35 CD$=CHR$(34)+"CD:"+B$+CHR$(34)
40 OPEN 15,A,15,CD$
Note this is presented without checking on real hardware.

Re: 1581 on Vic-20?
Another tip. Directory listings can take up a LOT of memory, if you don't have JiffyDOS or similar. Use selective directory methods, e.g. LOAD"$:*=P",device to get only PRG files LOAD"$:D*",device to get all files beginning with D LOAD"$:D?G=P",device to get all PRG fil...

Yes, got your e-mail, thanks.
It was being busy with another article and other projects that slowed down getting the extras up, not you.

Re: Retro Gamer article
So, it took some time, but I have put up the "DVD extras" for the VIC-20 article on the Retro Gamer forum, if you want to read more that did not make the cut...

Perils of Willy
So, my recent VIC article for Retro Gamer has stirred up interest in Perils of Willy. But tracking down the author is proving tricky. The credit in Gamebase20 is for John Chaytor. He definitely has platform pedigree, having created Felix in the Factory for the BBC, published by Micro Power. But... D...

Have to say, I'm really impressed with Pulse.
The loading sequence is very clever, and the game is great.
