Re: Vic20 5k memory

Thank you for the reply! :D About zero page and 0200-0400 RAM, since I never return to Basic, and neither use any IO features I can basically write whatever I want there? I am not familiar with the Kernal really, but I guess it works like you actively need to call those ROM functions in order for th...

Re: Get the first program to automatically load the next par

Actually wouldnt mind having a ML routine that can load an optional 3kb of data whenever there is a 3kb expansion in the Vic20. Obviously the data should be loaded into 0400-0FFF, but I guess if I call ROM routines to do the loading its automatically placed based on address on the two first bytes of...

Re: Vic 20 Screen and Character designer

Very nice application! Perfect for prototyping and making a complete charset for games/apps! Just one feature I missed is that it would be cool e.g in select mode (or a new "keyboard mode") to be able to use keyboard to write chars as its a bit of hassle now to write text into the screen. ...

Re: Switching From DASM to KickAssembler

Just wanted to thank you for posting this. It got me started using KickAssembler om my Vic20 project, as that was what I was already using for my C64 projects. :)

Vic20 5k memory

Hi, pretty new here to the forum. I am a Commodore collector an enthusiast who recently developed Rocket Smash, a Jetpac clone for the C64 (a game that did get a Vic20 release). I have been taking a look at the Vic20 was intrigued by the machines limitations as it also kind of sets a limit to what y...

There are now 188 Vic20 title active on retrocollector.org, but 456 in total "behind the scenes" as soon as we can add scan and/or content scan/photo. I have soon scanned all my Vic20 games although I havent started on my cartridges yet. If you got a nice Vic20 collection and want to contr...

Possibly, I guess I should whip out my Vic20 and test it to confirm that it is indeed Q-Warrior. :)

Ok, I just got the Q-Warrior original, but the tape inside says OPUS by APS 1985, also for Vic20. Furthermore the tape has the Liberty House address which is the same as printed on the back of the Bug-Byte inlay. Is this the original tape for the game? Or is there an Opus game that might have been a...

Yes I frequently find most of the Atari titles in sealed form, probably there was a large stock of games in USA that went into storage in the "video game crash" as they like to call it. Even for the C64 there seems to be absolutely tons of sealed stuff that pops up now and then. I bet quit...

Ah most Mastertronic titles are rather abundantly found, at least quite a few of them pop up on ebay, often in larger lots. About Duck Shoot, I was fortunate to find the C64 disk version of this which is nice considering its the first Mastertronic game for the C64.

Yes it was me who got this. I actually bought this from retrokid a year ago when I was on summer holiday but the plan was to add up some more titles to the lot and I guess in time it all panned out in nothingness (and I cant even remember if I paid for it either). But I got a second chance to buy it...

I guess I can join the club wanting to buy one of these Vic20 joysticks. Hey Jeff, now that you found two, perhaps you can part with one? :P
