Re: What programming environments are you using?

Aart Bik's crossassembler on the Mac command line, http://www.aartbik.com/MISC/c64.html, with TextWrangler as editor and VICE as emulator. And Disk Imagery http://lallafa.de/blog/c64-projects/diskimagery64/ for the odd d64 edit.

Since the commodore128.org forum doesn't seem to be with us anymore, I'll release my urge to post over here. There is a replacement C128 forum at http://c-128.freeforums.net/ Truly, Robert Bernardo Fresno Commodore User Group http://www.dickestel.com/fcug.htm July 26-27 Commodore Vegas Expo v10 201...

Re: New Vic 20 owner here.

Welcome! Looks like a very good find! If you're into the kind of low-level programming that goes into microcontrollers, I think you'll feel right at home in old 8-bit hardware. The charm of these old machines is how few levels of abstraction there are and yet you can do anything. Nice papercraft by ...

Commodore 128 - 16 different colours in 16 adjacent pixels

Since the commodore128.org forum doesn't seem to be with us anymore, I'll release my urge to post over here. It's probably trivial and I can't see any use for it, but I managed to put 16 different colours in 16 adjacent pixels. Because I use one-pixel sprites, this can only work in one spot on the s...

http://www.commodore128.org/ looks down again.

Just when I figured something out on the C128 that seemed postworthy.

Ah, It's all down to our kind and benevolent editor, Uncle K up in Reset towers ;) Glad you've had a load of downloads from the coverage though. Takes me back to my Rogue Trooper days ;) Thinking of contributing to the next issue? I thoroughly enjoy writing 'The day the universe died' for Reset, ma...

TONS of great content, and Witzo gets a mention too for his Hexmapper :)

Enjoy!
78 pages, a big issue!

Thanks for putting Hexmapper in there! Already got a dozen downloads for it since the mag came out.

Re: Which computer will be the most valuable in year 2050?

I voted Plus/4 for collectors, since that is what I think is the aim of the poll.
But the actually most useful computer will be the Pentium, because of enormous amounts of old data lying around that historians will want to access.
