I take it any memory location is okay to go PEEK, or are there some specified ones to try?

Thankfully I already have a loose Springer cart, but it would be nice to have one spare to trade/sell on!

Well here's (finally) what I was waiting for...

Nice carts!

Sadly I can't get the Springer cart to boot... any suggestions?

(yes, I've cleaned the contacts)

This is correct for sure as I plugged it into my PAL Vic20 yesterday to test and the graphics went garbage after 5 seconds or so.

I've been given conflicting dates myself... was it just shown at the Chicago CES in Jan 1981, or did it sell soon after? Or was it (as you put) not on the shelves until May? Either way, technically we missed the 25th anniversary last year, as the Vic-1001 (Japanese version) was on sale in Japan from...

I actually have two PCs connected to the same flat screen monitor; the main one via digital output I'm typing on the moment. The other is a 486 I use for all my transfers. So all I have to do is turn it on and then press a button on the monitor to change the input :)

Well you've shown me there's another Handic C64 cart I didn't know about (Jupiter Lander) so I can add that to my list (if you decide to sell it, let me know!), plus I can start tracking the existence of some other Handic Vic20 carts too.

CC&C by Epyx is the one I am thinking is kind of rare. Has anyone else seen a copy of it? It was absolutely my favorite VIC game back in the day. It requires the 16K expander and has looooooong load times. Yep I have it. Must admit I partly agree, I've hardly seen it about. Would be interested ...

http://www.digitpress.com will have an online Vic20 rarity guide (just carts though). As Ward has now "retired", I've taken over his mantle of tracking, plotting, costing and determining rarity on the cart side. As said, a few have come down in rarity (especially Star Battle and Jelly Mons...

Looking through complete listings, yes it was the same person.

Still, I'll have a spare copy of Mountain King now of course ;)

Not sure if he's gotten them from the same person I've got these from...

Mountain King (complete)
Springer (complete)
Bug Crusher (loose)
Amazing Maze (loose)

They certainly had most (if not all) of the stuff Mika listed I think...

Sadly not. I've been working my arse off on the Retro Survival project which took up 7 weeks of my time. And currently I'm in the middle of sorting out redecorating and repairing the house I will be moving into. So at the moment, it's rather on hiatus. Though truly if I don't feel I'll be able to co...

Given that even loose copies of the tape go for several hundred $ then that's really all that's needed for UMD. As for the Bridge game, I've got two 8k images, one runs at $6000, the other at $a000. A simple attach of each in Vice and a reset yields the game, without any problems from the play throu...
