As an experiment, I thought I'd try running V20 in jdosbox and putting the result on my web site. If you are interested, have a look here:
http://vic-20.appspot.com/jv20.htm
It runs fairly slow but I'm surprised it isn't slower.

Paul Robson's VIC 20 emulator is another one to add to the list:

It's another old MS-DOS one from sometime in 1996. It came out within a month or two of V20 and PCVIC.

In my case, my older brother (9 years my senior) had a C64 for a while. He had bought it himself. This was a bit before I got a VIC 20. I remember peeking through his bedroom door and seeing this really cool alien ship hovering over a planet surface on his TV screen. It captured my imagination. He l...

Re: JVIC - Java VIC 20 emulator from 2003/2004
Great Lance! So how can we get our hands on this emulator? I'd love to try it out! :D Give this a go: http://vic-20.appspot.com There is a link to it on there. But be warned that the site is fairly rough and very retro (by which I mean Web 0.01). I've essentially copied the HTML from backups of my ...

Hi all, I introduced myself in the announcement forum. I mentioned something there regarding my emulation efforts that I thought I would continue to elaborate on here in the emulation forum. I said in my introduction that I wrote JVIC, a VIC 20 emulator written in Java, in 2004. I was feeling nostal...

I still have my VIC, although I didn't buy it new. I think we bought ours second hand around 1986. The VIC had been out for a while but there were still a few places around that sold games. Over the years a few things stopped working, including the video chip, so we had to buy a second one for spare...

My username is my real name. No mystery there. I used to have a VIC 20 web site around 1996-99. So I thought I'd use my real name in case some of you recognise it. I've written a few VIC 20 emulators over the years. The first one was written in Pascal and called V20. At the time (mid-1996) VICE was ...
