Re: New Vic 20 User Here (My Story)

Welome to the forum! 1) Is there any difference between PAL and NTSC games for the Vic? ie: can i run NTSC games on a PAL Vic? Would there be any problems? Some NTSC games won't run on PAL VICs. The reverse is also true. 2) I have seen 16k RAM carts on ebay. But i am aware of 32k ones. Would my best...

Why use TAP?

Seems like the T64 format is a lot more accessible to folks. TAPs can't be read by 64Copy, Star Commander, or 64HDD.

I have a bunch of 8K/16K cart games on D64 HERE
Each D64 has a MENU program as the first program on the disk.

These pictures seem to be of two different VICs. How many are you selling?

I have one of those 6 packs. The tape wiskow is missing (VT1005) is Blue Meanies from Outer Space. Someone kept one of the better games. I really enjoy playing VIC-21 Blackjack, actually. A very fun version. Being in BASIC, it's easy to modify the programs too. I changed some of the colors around i...

With the insane prices CMD stuff is demanding lately, I'm not so sure this guy is crazy to put that kind of price on it. Well... I think maybe he went overboard a little... but again I wouldn't be flabbergasted if someone actually pays this.

Okay, so instead of having anything rare, I have some of the most common VIC-20 cassettes... hehehehe  Maybe so, but they're fun to play anyhow. Just out of curiosity, does anyone know WHY the Blackjack game is called "VIC 21" Blackjack? It's blackjack...You need 21 to win...VIC-20....

I am totally naive, but provided that a game is under 6K total, is the only difference between a 3K expanded game and an 8K expanded game the POKE values? If so, couldn't you just write a header on the game that asks the user what type of expansion is plugged in, and then sets the POKES to match th...

These are all pretty common. You can probably find them on Zimmers site or on some of the other VIC download sites out there.

As ral-clan mentioned, Star Commander works very well. If you have a Star Commander setup, you also have a good setup for 64HDD. Then you could access the D64s from your Commodore and skip the 1541 altogether.

It was part of a 'multimedia' PC package that Gateway tried to sell about ten years ago. I forget the name of the line now, and I gave the monitor to one of my employees.

I had a 32" VGA monitor in my office a few weeks ago. Far and away the biggest monitor I've seen. Pretty good display too, though it can only do 800x600 max.

I suppose that the General section and Collecting and History would be nice.

I just want to thank all the little people who made this moment possible....
