Why use TAP?

Seems like the T64 format is a lot more accessible to folks. TAPs can't be read by 64Copy, Star Commander, or 64HDD.

Each D64 has a MENU program as the first program on the disk.

These are all pretty common. You can probably find them on Zimmers site or on some of the other VIC download sites out there.

As ral-clan mentioned, Star Commander works very well. If you have a Star Commander setup, you also have a good setup for 64HDD. Then you could access the D64s from your Commodore and skip the 1541 altogether.

It was part of a 'multimedia' PC package that Gateway tried to sell about ten years ago. I forget the name of the line now, and I gave the monitor to one of my employees.

I had a 32" VGA monitor in my office a few weeks ago. Far and away the biggest monitor I've seen. Pretty good display too, though it can only do 800x600 max.

I've never heard of that one before. Anyone have it online somewhere?
