Re: Flappy Bird ported to the C64
Can't get enough of the game, Flappy Bird, on your cellphone or tablet? Sad that Flappy Bird was pulled off the app market? No worries! Now you can play Flappy Bird on the Commodore 64! The news hit today that coder .GEARS built the game, and developer Sos ported it. It is the talk of the Net; just...

Re: ZDnet Story
After reading that editorial, I suspect Mr. Hess' lack of results with the VIC would have been the same had he purchased a different computer. Probably, I know I was not so happy when the 64 came out but adding memory to the Vic cost so much more then compared to the 64. It was an easy jump. But bo...

Any idea when a new version will be out? I'm on the list and curious.

Re: Best Terminal Program for the Vic
There's Term-80, I think? I can't remember what it's called, maybe TERM-40. Anyway, it provides 40 columns for the VIC-20 and is a fairly decent terminal program. Not sure if it does VT-100, etc. It's included on the Mega-Cart. Thanks. I'll give it a try. Some day I'll see a Mega-Cart. On the list.

Ah, thanks. Learned something new.Mike wrote:The VIC-20 has no (single chip) PLA to generate the various chip select and other timing signals, that job is done by several TTL chips.craftsman1234 wrote:Will it also work in a Vic-20?

Best Terminal Program for the Vic
I use my 64 with a Swiftlink to access several Telenet BBS. I few days ago I got in the mail a USB-TTL device and hacked it into a userport reset switch. It works just fine at 2400 baud. So I can now have both the 64 and Vic connected to the Internet at the same time. The Vic is expanded so I was wo...

Re: The end of the ROM based PLA for the 64
After reviewing Skoe's extensive document, it appears my claims about the C64 drawing less power when using the M27C512-90B6 were right but not for the reasons I expected. It is the M27C512-90B6 itself that takes about 90mA less than an original PLA. This nice little chip also worked better than or...

Is there a torrent that can be downloaded for all the Vic-20 files like there are for the 64?

Re: Bolder Dan
Nice game. It seem to play fine on my NTSC Vic-20.
I bug I may have found. If you collect the last item and a boulder is above you it may not fall. I had boulders all around me and instead of being killed I was trapped until the time ran out.

Re: Strange video problem
2. Does the image change, when you add/remove the +8K RAM expansion? 3. Does the VIC react to commands typed-in blindly (like POKE36879,8 - which should change background and border to black) 4. Could you provide good photos of the solder job (component side and solder side)? Nothing is different w...
