There was definitely a tool to convert from other Word Processors to geoWrite, though I don't remember what it was.

Ah! I understand what happened here. You meant "Awesome". But I can understand why you chose "awful". It literally means to "fill one full of awe" or "to be full of awe" - which is how the word used to be used. Literally, "awful" should have a very ...

Eh.. the "I" command is to initialize an formatted disk, not an unformatted one. If you try that on a foreign disk, the 1541 will blink its lamp and give you an error, I can't remember if it is a READ ERROR or DRIVE NOT READY. I does not initialize a disk. It initializes the drive (return...

I though load"*",8 was for loading the first file in the directory irregardless of what it's actually named. Like what's been said above that's not really a different file format just a different form of the load command. The "*" actually tells the disk drive to load the last pr...

The only problem I see is that it seems to load and save only from tape. I imagine I could hack it to work with any device, but ideally it should load/save the character file from the same device the program was loaded from.

Re: Ordinary cassette interface for VIC20?

The problem is the mp3 compression (psychoacoustic - humans dont make a diff why should we keep this) would most definately screw up the peaks and phases of the audio on of the vic tapes, rendering them useless. I would have thought this to be the case, but I am able to use MP3's to load games into...

Don't forget PETRIS

http://gamebase64.com/search.php?f=0&t= ... 18&h=1&a=0

Written in 100% BASIC 2.0, it runs on almost all 8-bit CBM machines, including the VIC-20. And it's less than 1K.

I've got the old Plotter - i don't know it still turns on or not - haven't tried using it in over 15 years because the pens ran out of ink. Where would I find different colored half-inch long ballpoint pens? Radio shack use to sell them (The CGP-115 used the same mechanism) but I don't think they d...

The similarities between Jesus Christ and Elvis Presley are almost uncanny. Just check the following parallels for yourself! Jesus said "Love thy neighbor." Elvis said "Don't be cruel." Jesus is the Lord's shepherd. Elvis dated Cybill Shepherd. Jesus was part of the Trinity. Elvi...
