CB, Ghislain has a release or two(?) at Chronosoft on tape. Ghislain, I have not beaten the game yet (ROQ3) - need to shoot for it again. I suggest a Theater of War package with extra goodies not included on the ROQ release. I'd buy that. Besides, Psytronik could use another VIC-20 Premium Disk in i...

Very nice! I'm looking forward to trying out the ROQ I&II Anniversary editions which I assume are different from those on the 2009 ROQIII Commercial diskette I own. (Edit: I see they must be new from the 2011 date, and looked up the differences - good stuff!) Blogged about it here: http://c64wal...

Looking forward to mine! I worry from time to time that I overlooked the final e-mail asking me to pay or it fell into the black hole of my spam inbox. :)

I got a copy of Carling the Spider and thought that was a good game for a platformer. Same with Astro Nell. Back in the 80s I had an idea for a platformer that involved a cockroach being chased by cans of bug spray, flyswatters, and other hazards. The dangerous life of a cockroach in a hotel. Blimpi...

I played the heck out of Omega Race as a kid, so I'll toss my vote in for that, but I'm more of a strategy and RPG fan. I never saw Temple of Apshai or Rescue at Rigel back then at the stores, but I would have loved those. Also, if Realms of Quest III had been available back then I wouldn't have bee...

Hey Mike, I might be interested! I'm looking for another VIC-20 with the round C64 style power supply plug and have a variety of harware and software I could trade including several 1541s including a VIC-1541 I'm looking to trade since I got a pristine 1571 that does all of my disk duty now. Lots of...

Quest and DoD Manuals / PDF added to MOCAGH

Great news - two DoD manuals and Quest (from TRS-80, but manuals are more or less the same) were recently added to the "new aquisitions" page at the Museum of Computer Adventure Gaming History: (Note the thumbnails with PDF icons) http://mocagh.org/loadpage.php?getgame=dungeonsofdeath-alt ...

Mayhem, given that Dungeons of Magdarr is an evolution of the same game, I wonder if there is anything that can be gleaned from the Commodore 64 version's code?

I played both DoD VIC-20 and Magdarr C64 for comparison purposes. No question DoD was a precursor to the Magdarr games now. I took a screenshot of the intro text of both DoD for the VIC-20 and Dungeon of Magdarr for the C64 (Dungeon of Death was also available for the C64 but remains elusive). Text ...
