That's why I like the older games. Over in five to ten minutes.... I've never got into any of the new game systems, MUDs, or games such as Ultima: Online, the Star Wars on-line universe or whatever. I can totally see how they would be addictive and an (unhealthy) substitute for reality. I'm afraid i...

That page has the manual for the Super Expander and a copy of the Programmer's Reference Manual, but I don't see any instructions for the Programmer's AID cartridge.

Anyone have a manual for Programmer's Aid cartridge?

Hi, does anyone have a scan or OCR'd version of the manual for the Programmer's Aid Cart? It seems like it would be so helpful but I don't know what it can do or how to use it. Thanks!

Unfortunately, the Battlezone loader did not work. After the cartridge images are loaded all I get is a screen reset where the words READY and the cursor are changed to @ signs. :(

I'd love to see a cart-to-disk conversion of Battlezone for the VIC. I have the cart images, but it doesn't run properly on a real VIC-20. The game starts but crashed (always in different places).

I thought the show was funny.

It seemed every week there was another reason to go into the caves.
Hey 6502dude! I love your new avatar (SSSssssss.....). Land of the Lost is one of my favourite shows and I have all the episodes on DVD!

Reading old Compute! magazines does that to me too! When I close the magazine I have to come back to earth and realize its nearly impossible to get those things... I agree. When I read those magazines I wish I could get in some sort of time machine and go back and buy some of that stuff (but ...

Is the Data-20 board driven by a 6545/6845 chip? In that case, code from the CBM-II emulator (perhaps 80-column PET too) could be reused, since it uses a such chip. Maybe not in the same fashion, but at least a beginning. The EPROM for the Data-20 board also holds a built-in terminal program, plus ...

I have one of these cards and will find this useful. Thanks for sharing! Looking through your comments in the read-me.txt...I wonder how hard it would be to emulate the Data20 in (say) VICE? Maybe reuse something from the 128's 80-column separate VDC window? Yeah, the thought that an emulator for t...

You may want to try Fisichella too, it is not as extensive as vic-tracker but maybe easier to use and you can get some interesting effects out of it. I downloaded some of the files from Aleksi Eeben's web-site. Holy crap! Some of those things I didn't even know were possible on a VIC-20! The loop e...

The VIC sound chip (actually part of the VIC chip which does a lot of other things) only produces square waveforms (and noise). (Actually it can produce some other strange waveforms but this is more complicated - and not discovered until recently). Still, the square waves can sound pretty cool if yo...

Found some software for the DATA-20 display board

Hi, I found a really old tape in my collection. It was a 20+ year old tape, not an original, and not even a high quality tape to begin with (it was a Canadian Tire brand bargain blank tape). Lo-and-behold it had some software for the DATA-20 display board (40/80 column board) on it! It appears to ha...
