...But the VIC-20 is even more challenging and sometimes I prefer to code for it. I still enjoy your last game. :) Okay JohnnyRockets, why do you like the Vic? Why would you choose the Vic over the C64? Share with us! As for me, I've got a few computers and consoles and though I play all of them my...

Favourite Bat'n'Ball Game on the Vic?

I've been playing lots of Kweepout and Balls to the Walls over the past couple of days and it has me thinking about all the bat'n'ball games out there that I've played over the years. Thinking about all the time I've put in to this genre I've come to the conclusion that it happens to be my favourite...

How many FPS do you reckon you could squeeze out of the engine? Do you think you could hit a constant double figure or is that just asking too much?

Still can't believe we're talking about Doom on the Vic!

I would absolutely love to see Combat from the VCS ported to the Vic each tank being controlled by 2 joysticks - just like a real tank!

Please, somebody make it happen! :)

I can't tell you how excited I am to play Doom on my Vic. The last build from ages ago was impressive but it's a been a while and I can't wait!

Kweep us posted (see what I did there?). :)

Aah, thank you for your clear and concise answer. I can't tell you how silly I feel now! Still, you learn something new every day and today I have you to thank for that. :)

Well, I know I haven't put any more up as yet. That's because my pesky AIO broke on me and I no longer have a scanner. I hope to get one in a Christmas sale and get back on to scanning these in. Sorry for the delay folks...

I love these old adverts. I wish I could find the newspaper ad which inspired my dad to think about buying my first Vic. I've got one of the Canadian Tire tapes that were offered here a while back. I have a friend from Canada and when I mentioned the tape to her recently in the pub she was so excite...

Kweepa, you're so fussy! :P

Though, I do have to admit to often yearning for a shade of grey in the palette. That was the single stand out feature when I first got my C16. That thing's got a lovely array of colours to play with. :)

Welcome aboard to both you, Nathan, and Rob the Rookie. I really hope you stick around and share some of your thoughts with us. It really is nice to see a couple of younger guys that haven't just gone for the NES as the hipster-retro machine of choice and called it a day! So you guys actually play t...

Indeed, it's a great book. I don't think there is one single book that contains as much useful (and understandable!) information for any other computer out there. It's pretty much an integral part of the Vic itself, it's totally indispensable. :) The literature for the Vic was of a very high standar...

My Vic came from a cheap small chain called What Every Woman Wants. They sold everything as long as it was cheap, nasty and didn't carry a brand name! It was where all the poor families would buy their clothes and things and everybody would be ribbed about shopping there. There was nothing more emba...
