TAP files can be put back onto tapes to play on a real Vic20, but you'll either need a cable to connect a datasette to your PC, or connect a C64 to the PC (to run TAPSERV as I don't think there is a Vic20 version of it). Now I have the former setup here so not really a problem for me to transfer stu...

Hall of the Moutain King... aside from this game, I've also heard it used in Manic Miner and Powerplay. I'm sure I've heard of couple of other games with it in too...

I can only ask here to check if you are actually launching the X64 program by mistake (the C64 emu) and not the XVIC program ;)

I think I have the book about. If I ever get time, I'll type them in for GB20.

That's pretty much it, the battery life. And the selection of games on the GB was far wider and greater than either of the other two machines. Sure there was crap, but when you had RC Pro Am, Super Mario Land, Zelda, Metroid II and many other early titles to play with... and the killer ap to almost ...

Price has come down now people have found stashes of sealed copies. You can get it and Ikari Warriors together for $400 total sealed now from sellers.

So where's that pic then? ;)

Admitedly a number of my Vic20 carts are a bit loose in the connector, but that's almost 25 years of age and use...

I've got a Stelladapter, which allows any regular 9 pin input to work on a PC via USB connection. And it does support paddles as well. Maybe I'll see about trying the program out with them... right where did I put them? :P

You're in luck... I recently picked up complete copies of VicKit 2, 3, 4 and 5 from a guy only a few miles from me. Manual's a bit thick though :P What I can tell you though is the VK2 needs 3K extra RAM to run. So you either need a RAM chip on the cart board (they should be a socket for it, unless ...
