New Denial Collection: 5 BASIC 5 line games
Happy holidays! I guess it has become tradtion to gift games here. I've been working on my little book project and made some type-in games. Inspired by huffelduff's project , I made my own collection of short BASIC games. They are 5 lines each, and they are silly. I welcome reviews or kind reactions...

Re: Jeff's VIC 20 Book
Update: I had a chance to work on it over the last few days. I merged two threads discussing this project and edited the first post to always link the most current draft: Version 0.4 PDF I am going to print a few copies to test it out. Let me know if you want one. I also made a seperate file for som...

Re: FE3 Software Collection
When do you think this will happen? I would love to get my mega-cart updated! I have one before sort was implemented.

Re: New Game Collection: 10 BASIC 10 liners
I enjoyed the games! Mike's criticisms can come in a little harsh sometimes, but he's always honest and means well. If anything, this collection shows the limits of "number of lines" restricted, or generally, size restricted games. I think of programming restrictions as a sort of "met...

Re: WIP: The Archivist
That looks so cool! I've been trying not to read this thread until I get the time to play through the game. I am glad I peeked today. Seeing this cart is so inspiring.

Re: A New Draft
Here's the latest PDF Thank you all for the continued input! I hope I caught all the corrections suggested. I still have yet to check on the katakana for the VIC-1001. A suggestion for this table: it is useful to know which calls are through a RAM vector. Could you use bold or italics on the label t...

Re: A New Draft
Updated PDF ... I don't want to waste anyone's time finding the same corrections. Thank you! Great notes: [*]Page 31, I see a pair of vertical bars between 7935 and 7936 I put it there to separate the first block of 255 spaces. I use that when PRINTing, but I will likely remove it if it's distracti...

Ok, here's an updated draft. I found time to work on it today and fixed all of the edits srowe listed (except the kataka...

Re: A New Draft
This looks pretty cool! I guess the best way to find errors in the book would be to use it. I have a comb binding machine which makes "lay flat" books a like the original programmers reference guide. Maybe, with permission from the author, I'll print one for myself? I think I even have so...

Re: A New Draft
Some remaining bugs How did you put this together so fast??? Great notes! I'll get started on these right away! I've also noticed the PDF seems to lose borders or discolor them in some browsers. The effect goes away when I zoom in. It all looks fine when printing, but I'll double check the pages yo...

A New Draft
I am starting a new thread for a new draft of my book project. The PDF should be viewed in two page mode. It is arranged as front cover, front cover interior, and so on...) I started working on it again and had a test copy made. I determined the book needs to be at least 128 pages for proper "f...

I wonder if this was a legal issue. Does Atari or HAL seem to have rights based on similarities to Lunar Lander?

Agreed. Not what I was expecting. Robert's posts makes a stronger pitch than the actual link.
