I don't see the drama in this thread. I would have seen it in someone who buy a 5$ cart for 50$ :-)

Shouldn't the label be connected to ground to shield effectively?

I don't think so. I tried loading a game, which took 7 seconds. Then I tried to load the same game with my vic-menu, and that took less than 6 seconds. Besides that, 20.prg only works on an unexpanded vic-20 and I want to use it with expanded memory. Sorry Boray. I just had that file and wanted to ...

Some file names contain "20", some "64".
The quick load command works only if you have the files in the correct order in the directory.
Try loading "20.prg": the subsequent prg you'll load should be jiffydos ed.

The file contains sjload and file browser for vic 20, c64 and c128, I didn't make this file. It's by an Italian as I can tell from the funny translation :-)
There should be a document explaining the contents of the archive.

Re: Screen Geometry

Hello! Been out of this picture for some time now, too many things to do before we take-off to Venice in September. Hope all is well with you. Thanks for reply, all is good. Venice is fantastic, you'll enjoy it! Yes but hurry up, the weather is changing! Not that Venice is less beautiful when it's ...

Until you run the cart you can't know 100%, but it is unlikely to be WoW with that chip or cart configuration. My main point here was that some logic some people apply and some behaviours on this forum are very negative about this. I emailed Fred and have offered to help and prove with data and als...

even if he is not guilty, the cart may simply not work or may not be what you expect at all.

So it's as easy as just soldering the buttons on? Not anything more that has to be done? I've not done it myself, maybe someone with experience can confirm? From what I see on the little board, there are contacts for the buttons and leds so it shouldn't be difficult... But again I haven't done it s...

I have a cheap sd2iec and it does have support for vic-20 iec mode, so I believe the same is true for the other device which is based on sd2iec.
About the diskswap, I would suggest going for the cased version if you plan to use it, or you can solder your own button.
