My copy has just arrived in the UK, sailed through Customs. Really nice quality, will enjoy having a read after work.

Most accelerators are based on the JiffyDOS protocol. SD2IEC supports it, I wrote an implementation for the VIC-20

Re: Vic20 Startup sequence to main screen Display? (was: Help Cartridge with a startup SOUND)

You seem to have socketed pretty much everything, from the screen I would say there's a fault in the address buffering between the VIC and the CPU. That would suggest UD1 and/or UD8/UE8.

4,000+ programs VIC-20 listings

It contains programs from books and magazines that were printed in the 1980's, the primary way those of us on a budget in that day got to try new games and utilities. He's now ju...

Re: Jeff's VIC 20 Book

Using an estimate print run of 10 I've got a quote of just under £5 for Jeff's specification, looks like postage would be £3. There would then be a donation on top of that.

Re: Jeff's VIC 20 Book

So, here is my idea: if anyone wants to take the burden of distributiing in their continent, I can send you the exact files and specifications and help you research a printer in your area. Printing one book here is expensive ($35), but if you are willing to print 10 books, the price goes down to ab...

Re: Jeff's VIC 20 Book

I will take a few to the post office Monday to figure out shipping. I'll just get the exact weight with the padded envelops I bought earlier then print postage labels from home. It looks like the US Postal service still has a "Printed Material" rate (which should be cheaper). Make sure th...

Welcome.

I guess if you're not keen on eBay you might not be interested in AliExpress? It's hard to find bricks and mortar stores that sell electronics anywhere.
