Re: Key Quest Cartridge
Retro Gamer Magazine said there was only one known copy of this game https://www.retrogamer.net/top_10/top-ten-commodore-vic-20-games/ , but I just snagged a copy on eBay, so there are at least two now. :) This is an awesome VIC-20 game, especially since it is from 1983. I would highly recommend do...

Re: The Mysterious Island - full version, anyone?
That would be good. I became aware that the file in GB20 was not complete some time ago, and while I have an original of the game myself, I was unable to transfer it successfully to work in VICE. So if you are able to do it, cheers!

Re: VIC20 Games Designer
I recall having to perform a few shenanigans to get the included demo games in this package into GB20 heh

Re: Cartridge Game Picture Position out of place
The screen registers for PAL and NTSC were different iirc. Many games, especially Commodore ones, allowed you to reposition the screen using the cursor keys. Some don’t sadly.

Re: VIC-20 Floppy Games/Software
There were very few games released on disk back in the day for the Vic. Lots of tapes have been converted to D64 though so any device capable of playing them (and very few fast loaders too) should be fine such as SD2IEC.

Re: Compute Gazette Type in Games
Just to note both of these games are already in Gamebase20.
I applaud you doing type-ins and there's definitely a load that need doing, but I think all of that Compute book has been done.

EDIT: I think I figured it out. The prg doesn't work when the name is "underwater.prg" but works when the name is "under.prg" ... might be a filename length limitation. https://www.mdawson.net/vic20chrome/vic20.php?load=http://www.sleepingelephant.com/denial/under.prg May requir...

Re: Retro Replica. Sword of Fargoal
The Giana Sisters repro has a small RR logo on the inlay, which isn't large enough imo to be easily discernable as a reproduction.

Most of those are not 16k (they are 8k) hence why I didn't say them

Re: Maze of Mikor
I don't have Quest archived either by the looks of it in GB20, so very weird indeed! I imagine there's probably some files on Zimmers not in the database mind you. I don't know if Quest was the European original and Maze of Mikor was the USA name but HES used to change UK game names and release in t...

Re: Maze of Mikor
Thought I had it in GB20 but evidently not, one of those I've seen for sale but not been able to buy (stupid high asking prices probably) to transfer.
