Can I buy ready cartridge or do I have to build this of kit myself? It will by a kit, so you have to solder parts yourself. But it is not difficult, cause no SMD parts there only DIL and PLCC. This would be very cool if it let run Vic20 demos from SD card and also games that are missing from Megaca...

Final Expansion is not able to emulate the Hardware nor the firmware of a MegaCart.


But you easily can store all programs, games and cartridges available for VIC-20 into one SD and execute it with Final Expansion.

It seems more like a ram expander and SD2IEC. Please excuse my bad english ... Yes, it is a SRAM Expander (512KB), a EEPROM Cartridge (512KB - 29F040) and a integrated SD2IEC (many thanks to UNSEEN). The EEPROM holds a Firmware, which allow Simple RAM Config (3KB, 8KB, 16KB, 24KB, 32KB, 32KB + 3KB)...
