Re: Thomson TO7 & MO5 thread

Hello to you, I was on your side and I looked for a few files for the vic-20. So I found a few games to download, but when I starts some games, mostly of that was broken. I'm men the programs stops with a Syntax-Error, or out of Data and a few more errors. After I correct these error, the stuff work...

Re: NASA and the VIC-20 (routine for stepping motors)

I'm sorry, I don't have taken that picture of the vic, because I knows that computer. I was only real amazed during my painting that one is still working with fischertechnik and with a VIC, too. But in about 2 weeks I'm be there again, and I walk and ask for a picture of the VIC and also the hardwar...

Re: VICE palette files with colors as seen on real machines

Sorry for interrupt, but may be I can explain that 1 raster line at the top in PAL mode, but I'm not for sure, so correct me, if I'm wrong. it has all to do with the sub-sequences that would be send by PAL, for e.g. you know, on old VCR's when look a movie you at the top of your screen, sometimes a ...

Re: redefine the charset

OK, I understand, so if I use a 24KB I enter POKE56,21:CLR at the program start and that's all, the Basic is moved and save and I can define the keys and characters, also I can load during the game something into the memory and it should be all good. By the way. When the master program is running is...

Re: a new Game for the VIC-20 Fort Apocalypse

give me a few days and I try that procedure for autostart and the super expander, but I can't promise that it would work
also you must use the memory at BLK/5 when you are on a real VIC-20

Re: redefine the charset

OK, I see, because I'd know that game, so I was thinking I can do nearly the same. But it should be possible, to define some characters and fix it up into the memory, and after a while I change that into other stuff, without lost of the main-program or without lost of for the game points, live ect.

Re: a new Game for the VIC-20 Fort Apocalypse

cheers for all that information, now I understand, so for e.g. when I start to write the game. I use the super-expander and 24K, that works on all VICE and VIC,too. That should be OK, I hope ??! is this also possible for e.g. when I have the main-program and during the game I reload some pictures in...

Re: Disassembly of VIC-1112 ROM

thanks a lot, hopefully this Version works, with my old printer. Because I've got a old HP Plotter and it is possible to connect that to a VIC. It's done over USER-Port or via IE488 and with the IE488 it doesn't compute, but I saw this working a lot of years ago, so I was thinking that should be to ...

Re: NASA and the VIC-20 (routine for stepping motors)

Yes :D, and that's the funny part of it. Because there are the newest computers around, they can calculate most everything, excepted the 42 question, also they can fly now to Mars and Pluto, but for some other reasons, thy use the VIC-20. A couple of weeks ago, I was painting in Augsburg at medical ...

Re: need a few POKES please,

thank you for all your answers to my questions, right now I found a way, to expand the screen to a maximum, and that should be good for my planning, I use this Poke POKE36864,8:POKE36865,21:POKE36866,26:POKE36867,64:POKE44,20:POKE5120,0:NEW and for the other screens that POKE36864,8:POKE36865,38:POK...

Re: a new Game for the VIC-20 Fort Apocalypse

right, I saw also some super-expander games, but all of them where crap, but this one is pretty nice and funny and it is a really good remake. also here is the original link, where I've got the file, there is also a documentation of the owner, but it is in German. www.videospielgeschichten.de/fortap...

Re: need a few POKES please,

OK, I understand. If I'm right means that, the higher the resolution is, the lower are the colours. But, when I was young I saw a VIC-Game, where some Text and Information ( Points, Highscore, Lives, Time and Level ) where displayed in the border. Also the screen was pumped up in the vertically way ...
