Thanks for the support guys. Anytime, Jeff. I should clarify that "law suit" is just a figure of speech here. Affirm. The main point of my post is that I feel like I've been "cut-off" before having a chance to make my own iphone app. Hmm, I think you should be able to develop a ...

I did research after that and found no similar game. Please let me know if I'm wrong. Jeff, First of all: Your game looks far better than this iphone App. You made the best of out of what the VIC is capable of - this suspected copycat app is nothing but documented lack of style and taste. But...

if this gets completed it could be one of the best games to grace the Vic, even if its a port Wow. I really had to rub my eyes, I just couldn't believe this is running on a VIC until I checked the programmers comments. But I somehow doubt if he will have enough VIC processing time left to p...

Re: Space Invaders

I remember it was a cartridge game and I know it said Space Invaders on it, so it wasn't one of those knockoffs. Does anyone else remember having this for Vic-20?? AFAIK there is no VIC cart branded as "Space Invaders". Still, Commodores 1st cart (1901 - Avenger) is a brilliant Space Inva...

Everything has an end

PROBLEM SOLVED! For now :D Hey, great to hear, that you got your game working again. Although you have no faulty cartridge ROM, it may happen sometime in the future. Better said. It will happen. :( This is why it is so important to rescue any bit of code from cartridges before they will fail to wor...

In some games you can move the screen to a correct position (for your VC20) by using cursor- or F-keys, that may differ between programs. Might I add: All Commodore Carts are capable to use the firmware routine of adjusting the screen position with the cursor keys. So no trouble with these NTSC car...

Re: VIC-1020 - Got one

What would this be worth to someone? Any ideas? I may wind up keeping it but I have never seen one before. Any comments would be appreciated. Envy. :P I am looking for such a thing many years now. They pop up on ebay Germany every 2-3 months or so (branded as VC 1020 of course) and usually the sell...

I've hear reccomendations on avoiding C90 or longer tapes for the reason that the tape band is too thin and might make the programs unreadable with age ? If you plan an everlasting relationship with you Vic-20, avoid C-90 and over tapes ? Nice remark on the over C-30 tapes and the motor issue, I ne...

Gamebase 20

The game you are looking for from Mr.Micro, 1982 is also included in Gamebase 20.

And everything you need to know about finding and installing GB20 can be found here at Denial:

Mystery Island

Welcome! Just tried to run the "Mystery Island"-.tap-image from Gamebase 20 with VICE 2.2 (Windows version). Had no problem loading it and starting it with RUN (unexpanded VIC-setting). Maybe the image you are using is damaged, or you are using another image containing binary code that awa...

So, my setup is such, that it doesn't take me much more time to transfer D64-images to my C-1571 as transferring it to a SD-Card :D I've checked the new version, and the program doesn't crash anymore after typing an invalid numeric value, great! Still, if you type a letter by mistake, the program do...

Re: Patch online

Here's the corrected version for download . Thanks again! And you were right, somehow I've skipped the file FILL DATA.SEQ during transfer to my C=1571 (I love my trusty all-commodores-purpose-drive :) ) More likely, I erased it later. I like to make my disk directories look neat and readable and I ...

Re: Victoria Gold 16k Bug

The check for invalid country numbers needs to be corrected. I'll put a patch online later this evening. Gasp! Now that is fast service!!! Thanks! At which stage does the behaviour divert from the expected one? Also, which RAM expansion, and drive do you use? Has the file "FILL DATA" (whi...

Victoria Gold 16k Bug

Hi, yesterday I've played VICtoria Gold 16k for the first time on my real VIC (PAL). It was great fun, excellent work! Two things happened, one of them must be a bug... After I successfully conquered 3/4 of the other empires I mistyped the country number within the first selection of the "move ...

After the picture is taken, everything falls over. Right, but maybe that's the way the VIC 20 added some special effect sounds to the synthesizer music... Any volunteers here to search, find and call Mr. Visser to ask for some of his music with VIC 20 sounds in it? (ok, probably it neve...
