I'm very impressed by vicdoom!!

How do you solve reading WAD files? As far as I know CC65 doesn't support fseek and such things?

Why didn't you try first a simplier thing like Wolf3d?

Usually all new hardware for Commodore Computers are hobby projects. So it is normally this products are available only a short time.

Also most commercial products for Commodore are often only available for some month: MMCR, MMC-64, RR-Net, MP3-64

But maybe someone works on a MegaCart2?

You cannot reprogram the MegaCart. The used Prom type is prgrammable ONCE. it is not a flash nor a erasable Eprom!

You have to desolder it and solder a new one.

Re: Mega-Cart question

1. Is it possible to add more games or utilities to the cartridge? No. 2. Would some sort of update be possible that might add new features or games/utils to the cart? No. You can only put small utils or music files on it (not sure, think it is 8KB). 3. I don't believe there is, but I guess it won'...

Bevore I used a USB competition pro, a comercial product. But I realized it works too slow in some VICE and MAME games.

Yes, but EF was calculated at €20 without any benefit. The red cases are too expensive. Currently you cannot get a better price for red ones even if you take 50 or more pieces.

Maybe a FAT problem. FAT usually uses 8.3 chars. try using FAT32 which supports long filenames

Re: sd2iec firmware updated

what does it mean "it is possible" ? do I need a special software/hardware settings ? Yes there are some software switches, so you can switch mode by sending commands over channel #15. You also can write settings in eeprom of SD2IEC, so your own settings are default also after power down ...
