DQ: Keep in mind Radio Shack only disappeared here in Canada. South of the border they're still alive.

When you are a BBS sysop, learning to cope with heat problems with many multiples of drives is one of the first things you learn about.

I really wouldn't say that this is a scrap heap. There are actually a few machines in there that could potentially still be used in a productive sort of manner rather than for just retro fun. I still have 2 DEC Alphas in production at my work. I won't deny that it is an extremely expensive list - bu...

Just as a further warning - I have an Xbox that I have in a bay in my wall unit with approximately 2.5 inches clearance around the sides and about 1.5 on top. The Xbox has a fan of course. Right above it one time I had some Valentines chocolate in a drawer. One evening I had the Xbox on for an hour ...

Things are beyond out of control on eBay. I had the pleasure of being outbid last night on eslapion's 128D by none other than worldlam again. But for goodness sakes, 200 bucks for a 1541?! Sheesh!

I took some time and ported PRG Info to Perl so it'll pretty much run anywhere VICE is likely to. This version is command line only and doesn't support changing the load address, but should still be handy none the less. It is almost a line by line rip off of the Pure Basic version so I hope Boray an...

Hey, there's another idea for a TPUG meeting. If eBay training qualifies, why not a screening of Office Space? :D

Brian #1,

I've noticed the same thing as Brian #2. I am never able to load your avatar either from here at Sheridan or from my Rogers connection at home. I'm looking forward to having a look at your prototype.

I don't mind our loonies and toonies at all. To me they are fairly reasonable sizes for coins. I couldn't believe it the first time I saw a 1£ coin though. They're not very wide circumference-wise, but they're sure thick! I was amazed at how much more space it felt like they took up in my pocket.

These lists that include multiple different PC clones don't make sense to me. You can dress it up any way you like, but it's still just an x86 clone. Now if one of the items on the list was the "x86-based PC clone" then I could get into it!

My VIC came with the darker 64 coloured function keys, however, it also has the flat 2-prong power connection. In my world, the grey function keys seem right on the VIC.
