Re: Thoughts on the Dragon 32 and 64?

I obtained a ZX81 in box with manuals and 16KiB RAM expansion. I really need to give it some time. Especially since I also found a 70's B/W TV with built in Pong (and paddles) at a thrift store for $7. :-)

Old TV like that is just begging for a B/W computer.

Re: Commodore News Page closes doors :(

Those are good points. We all know who the elephant in the room is and that's FB. Until people wake up and realize that FB is a parasite, small niche forums are in danger. There are always exceptions. Places like this and the 6502 forums (lemon64, etc.) seem to still be thriving. We've recently had ...

Re: A few... improvements

Well, I don't know how much I can personally provide. As much as I know about the C64, I'm at a loss on the motherboard design (although, I'm learning more about it). One thing I did on my SBC was label overkill. Since I have four slots, I put a nice label next to each pin so that I never had to loo...

New Project in the Works

I know this is OT for the spirit of Denial but since this category is about "Other Computers", I thought what the heck. I've started on a new SBC that I am jokingly calling "Hodor". Yes. I know...I'm strange like that. It's a 68K (68SEC000) based computer with a DUART (NXP SC28L9...

Re: A few... improvements

I told myself, what the heck... I'll make a new board that's the way I would want a new board to be. Last year I designed my first 8-bit 65C02 computer and had the boards made. It has a 65C22 onboard and four expansion slots with a similar scheme to the Apple II. Why? Like you...because I wanted to...

Re: Thoughts on the Dragon 32 and 64?

As an avid collector of "vintage" computers (I think I have 90+ of them), I'm a fan of the Dragon series. However, I don't own any! I wished I did. I think one mistake many people make is they compare the computers too much. You can't discuss COMPUTER X without someone saying it's crap com...

Re: First computer with cell color attributes?

Well, this is a little tough to prove. The TI-99/4 (NOT /4A) was released sometime in 1979. But I can't seem to find exactly when. According to Wikipedia, the Atari 400/800 was released in November 1979. All three of those computers support color cells. However, my gut tells me the TI may have sligh...

Re: Commodore News Page closes doors :(

I didn't even realise this site existed. I always seem to find out about some of these good sites via 'we are shutting down' posts :( As for Facebook, I prefer forum websites over Facebook. I don't like the way Facebook organises its posts. Same here. I come here 99.9999% of the time for all things...

Re: HES Forth -- Where to host?

Just uploaded. Says it was successful but I don't see the file in the incoming folder. I assume it's masked until it's been approved.

Thanks!

OK, I could have sworn I was doing that but I must have fat-fingered something.

Thanks.

Re: HES Forth -- Where to host?

Stupid question...

Where would I get an account to upload there? Anon doesn't seem to work (other than browser).

Sounds good to me.

I'll also checkout archive.org too. I can't believe I didn't think of that sooner.

Thanks

HES Forth -- Where to host?

If you look at this thread about HES Forth: http://forum.6502.org/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=4924 You will see the OP was looking for a copy/ROM dump of HES Forth for the VIC-20. After it was found, I mentioned that I could upload it here or at least find where it should be archived. Anyway, it's attac...
