I saw on the Wikipedia that the VIC chip itself outputs Y/C, or at least something similar. Has anyone tried hooking a VIC-20 up with S-video?

Does anyone know what the default screen colours are meant to be? There's a couple of trimmers that move the colour on the screen around the spectrum.. I'm thinking the default screen should be either green or 'buff' (whatever that is) but don't know what colour the text or border should be.. "...

Programmer's Aid and VICMON have, in fact become pretty difficult to find over the last 5 years. Not in Sweden. I think I bought one from Stonan, but I'm not sure what I would use it for*. Still, at least it didn't cost an arm and a leg. Edit: How stupid of me, I should use it to get a lot of money...

Re: Dick Smith VZ200

Just bought a Dick Smith VZ200 off ebay.. How nice, or something. I have a Sanyo VZ200 (which has got nothing to do with the Japanese home electronics giant Sanyo). In most of the world, it was known as the Laser 200. Apparently the machine is based on a TRS-80, has a Z80 processor and 8k RAM. The ...

Re: I just returned a 42inch LCD TV

It looked good in the store. I had to do a lot of adjustments when I got home, but I figured out that I just like CRTs (tubes) better. Maybe I am just too old now. The blur of a CRT helps make everything look better. Actually, LCD and plasmas usually look blurrier (or jaggier, but at least not shar...

I didn't expect the GB Tetris song to fit so well with the VIC sound. Good work.

BTW, has anyone tested Fisichella?

Perhaps you should switch the HIGH and LOW lines?

Philips CM 8533 video monitor, using a video recorder as a tuner. The 8533 is the big brother of the common 8833, and I think it's basically the same as the Commodore 8081.

Sega never did games for the Amiga. They just sold the rights to those who paid the most (and therefore didn't care to pay more money to have decent ports).

If it was me, the trickiest part would be to fasten the RCA connectors into the box, although I would probably look to get a fresh set of tips for my soldering iron before getting into it. I would just solder in cables and add supports ("dragavlastning") inside the modulator. No need to h...

The NTSC monitors will crop the bottom off of a PAL display on an Amiga, and the PAL monitors will show a dead area at the bottom on an NTSC game. Well, no, not really. If the game really is NTSC, and makes the Amiga run in NTSC mode, it will switch modes and cover the entire screen. However, most ...

I think, that if it gives the emulated Amiga access to the SCSI or IDE interface, it should be configured to use not a slice, but a controller. This is just deduction, since I've only used SCSI emulation to access CD drive in WinUAE.

If you use UAE's SCSI emulation, wouldn't it be possible to run HDToolbox in UAE to partition the hard drive?

Here is mine. It's not very interesting, now that I have removed the C128D that served as a drive while my 1541-II was waiting for replacement.
