Centometrista! Larry and Julius Go One-At-A-Time (Commodore 64)

https://fgsoftblog.files.wordpress.com/2023/04/centometrista-2.png Howdy folks! I've just released a little 100-meter dash BASIC game. Larry and Julius are somehow sort of back... this time as sprinters. 8) You can download the game's D64 image, the source code and a (somewhat verbose) foreword fro...

8-bit Dice - a cross platform retro fantasy

I've ported a simple dice game to a good number of 8-bit systems of the '70s/'80s (I'd already posted the VIC-20 version here).
The complete package can be downloaded from here.

Cheers

Re: Chuck Peddle passes away

That is really sad news.
Peddle is one of the most important, yet overlooked, figures in personal computer history.
Will be missed.

Re: Help with WinVICE and ZoomFloppy

I'm trying the freshly released nightly build GTK3VICE-3.3-win64-r37084. It has the "Real device (OpenCBM)" option, but it won't work. The console window shows this error: "USB release intf error: libusb0-dll:err [release interface] could not release interface 0, win error: The requir...

Re: Help with WinVICE and ZoomFloppy

I'm going to answer myself. It's not an issue with x32 or x64 or with the system paths; it's just that the version of WinVICE I was testing just does not have the "use real IEC drive" option. I found it on later experimental builds, but those have issues of their own, so I will just revert...

Help with WinVICE and ZoomFloppy

I recently rebuilt my home system, switching from Windows 7 x64 to Windows 10 x64. I have installed my ZoomFloppy interface and the companion OpenCBM tools following this tutorial: https://opencbm.trikaliotis.net/opencbm-8.html I can now use the interface via command line (directly invoking the Open...

Re: Lost software releases

The forum does allow to host files; indeed when I uploaded my game (Pyrotech) I chose to host it both on the forum and on a separate website, and the hosted zip file is still there despite the ups and downs Denial has had lately. Although, a central organized repository would be super cool.

[ITA] non raggiungo il forum!

Da stamattina non riesco a raggiungere questo forum a meno di non usare un proxy http impostando un Paese diverso dall'Italia.
Ieri sera era tutto OK, ho anche postato.
L'intero dominio shamani.dk è inaccessibile.
La mia connessione è Wind Fibra.
Qualcun altro sta avendo il problema?

Alternate keyboard mappings in VICE

Looking at the commented lines in VICE's .vkm keyboard mapping definition files, I see a shift code (256) mentioned that is used for an alternative keyboard mapping for the same, already defined, key(s). How is this alternative mapping engaged?
