I've driven from Toronto, Canada to Phoenix, USA and back on 3 different occasions. 8000km round trip. That's a fairly long drive. :)

Don't expect it right away. Last time I checked, there was still a wait of several months. It's a one-man show so patience is required.

Thanks. I purposefully put it in Off Topic because it wasn't Vic-20 related, but if you think it belongs here, then that's good enough for me! :)

FA: 1764 REU and 1750 REU on eBay

Hello Folks, Here is just a plug for a pair of eBay auctions I have running right now. I've tested both units and they're working fine. 1 is a 1750, the other is a 1764 in a 1750's box (don't ask why, I don't know - I got it that way). 1750: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260...

A good example of a statement that makes it so very difficult for Linux to be taken seriously. You realize that those silly distro arguments boil down to a person's preference of a package manager right?

Be careful. The video circuits between an original VIC-20 and a CR version are slightly different. The photos in the wiki are specifically for a CR board.

I agree with IsaacKuo. The forced indentation of blocks is not only easy to get used to, but it also produces code that is more easily read, and is less error prone. I don't know how many times I've had to hunt down a missing brace bug in PERL because of some misleading error the interpreter generat...

Here is a good start to answer all your questions. If your MB accepts DDR memory, I find it unlikely that it would accept DDR2 memory as well, since according to the third paragraph of this link details that DDR and DDR2 are assembled in different packages, TSSOP and BGA respectively. As far as int...

First round on you then!! :)

I do suggest you look at a map though. Ottawa is kind of between the two, only about 300km or so east. More like a triangle.

I thought that kit was great when I got it. I never used the bag for school, but it did make a great transportation device for my VIC. I used to lug it around to friends' houses, and off to the cottage in the summer time. Unfortunately I tried to jam too much stuff into it one day and split it wide ...

I had been thinking all along that I got my VIC-20 on Christmas morning 1982, but I'm beginning to doubt my memory. I think it must have been 1983 because I'd been using my neighbour's for quite some time. Anyhow, that morning I got: A VIC-20 2-pronger with 64-style grey function keys included with ...

I only had two carts. Cosmic Cruncher and Raid on Fort Knox. I can't even remember how or why I got them. They must have been Christmas / birthday presents I guess.
