Re: Commodore on Intel Project
Hallo Adric22, In the beginning I was a bit sceptic because "we have VICE so why another Basic interpreter?". But then I realised that this could be for example a nice tool for children who want to learn to program. Let's be honest, what programming language is easy to learn nowadays? My o...

Re: **Commodore Magazines posted as torrents! UPDATE Aug. 13
Listed below are torrents to various Commodore magazine issues I have found on the internet! The best thing I like about the German magazine 64er is that all the software that was listed, also was available on floppy and much better, on CDROM nowadays. How about the software listed in these magazin...

... Then use opencbm [2] under your OS of choice to write the .prg to a floppy, and carry it over to the VIC. As OpenCBM doesn't work well for some people, another option is to boot to DOS using a floppy drive. Don't know if you can boot DOS using an USB stick. Once in DOS, you can copy your PRGs u...

hi there it sounds like it could be either the right 6522 or the 74ls06 on the vic 20 either that or you have a problem with the logic pcb in the 1541 also check your cable try another one if you have one I second this with the addition that it is more likely that you have to replace the 7406 and/o...

Is this a VIC-20?
Hmmm, it seems I have to work again to increase my rank :) Hallo allemaal, Please have a look at the Dutch Wikipedia page of the VIC-20: http://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/VIC-20 I have my doubts about the photo. IMHO it is a C64: the dark colour of the case and the very dark clour of the function keys. R...

Re: What do PET owners do?
What do other PET owners use, i.e., is there a similar uIEC/SD device out there that can be interfaced for easy transfer of binaries between PC and PET? http://www.baltissen.org/newhtm/cbmhd.htm In my case I use a Compaq ??? with P3/600 MHz with Win98SE as OS. CBM-HD is run under the real DOS mode....

Re: Hard reset / Soft reset
What is the difference between doing a Soft Reset (SYS 64802) and a Hard Reset? In case of the VIC-20 under normal circumstances, hardly any. But imagine you have a 6522 connected to the expansion port. As the VIC-20 doesn't know of it existance, it won't (re)set its registers/ports after any type ...

Re: How do I remove the power LED from the VIC?
But I could not figure out how to get it out on the 64 On the inside of the case is a little plastic ring, 3 mm high. Pull it of. Then push firmly on the LED from the outside. Should be doable with a finger otherwise use a little piece of wood. Then push the black LED holder out by pushing from the...
