Re: These dust covers seem decent

I bought one of these covers for my Atari Jaguar. They look great, and the material is pliable enough that it sits on the console even with cables plugged in.

How well it would fit a VIC-20 with cables plugged in, I can not say.

Re: Rebirth of the Behr-Bonz multicart... interested?

I'd be interested in a multicart.

Re: Now that I have a Vic

Omega Race for sure. The VIC has a conversion that is actually quite faithful to the arcade. I like pretty much any of the Atarisoft games. I also like Jeff Minter's games, such as Gridrunner. Parker Bros put out a Q*bert that is good. You might try using Google to track down a multicart or check ou...

Re: Vectrex!

There is a guy in the UK selling a few items, including a 72-in-1 multicart for £35 : http://www.playntradeonline.com/vectrex/ A US guy on atariage.com offered to sell me one for about $75 US including shipping, so I went with that one. It shipped a week or so ago, so I expect it sometime next week....

Vectrex!

After playing Vectrex games via emulation only, I finally bought a 'real' Vectrex: what a cool piece of hardware! I paid $200 Canadian cash (about $158 US) for it. With a little elbow grease and some Pledge, the cabinet and controller look almost new, just a few minor scratches and scuffs. The video...

Re: Intellivision and ColecoVision flashbacks

The Colecovision FB overlays don't fit an original Coleco.

However, the Intellivision overlays do fit.

Good - but plenty of room for improvement

As mentioned above, I recently bought the Intellivision Flashback and really enjoy it, so I thought I'd also buy the Colecovision Flashback. However, I've read quite a few reviews, and the Coleco ones are decidedly more 'mixed'. I went ahead and ordered one anyhow, and I'm glad I did. I'm reasonably...

Re: Nintendo NES

I dunno. I never got into the NES myself. Yes, there are some good games for it, but it seems like there are a plethora of 2D platformers and scrollers, which I never have gotten into.

Re: Intellivision and ColecoVision flashbacks

There is some discussion on AtariAge about possible future Flashbacks. Apparently one new line that AtGames is considering is a Commodore 64 Flashback, as it has a fair bit of name recognition still, and there is a HUGE library of games from which to obtain licencing. I have been playing my Inty FB ...

Re: VIC 20 computer mug !

I bought one of those about a year ago, along with a mug carrying the likeness of an Atari 800XL.
They are very decent mugs, and the graphics look terrific.

Re: Intellivision and ColecoVision flashbacks

On Christmas Day I ordered an Intellivision Flashback online. It took about a week to arrive and I have put in a few hours of gametime on it since. I'm very impressed by it. It isn't perfect (I'd give it 4.5 out of 5 stars) - but it is quite good IMHO. I own an original Intellivision 2609, and order...

Re: Intellivision and ColecoVision flashbacks

The Atari FB2 and FB2+ were 2600s-on-a-chip, and did not use emulation. You can find instructions on the Internet to wire in a cartridge connector to use actual 2600 carts. The FB3 and FB4 are, however, a custom implementation of an ARM processor that runs emulation in software. I have an FB2 and an...

Re: Emulators matters

Emulation certainly has its place. Example: I used to own a Virtual Boy. I think it is an uncommon and unusual system, and of the few games released for it there were five games that I really liked, especially Galactic Pinball. The problem is that a working Virtual Boy is worth $150 easily, and I ju...

I would lean towards the original Atari 800, with the 800XL a close second.

Re: New VIC-20 Multicart/Development Cart

I posted the review from May 2012. I still have this 32-in-1 cart and it still works just fine.
I recommend it if you are looking for a multi-game cart.
