Re: Finished - C16 Kikstart - Vic 20 16K PAL

'Raid on Isram is superb! (Especially for an unexpanded game.) It was sold as "Skramble!" in Sweden and had slightly different colors and graphics. I think there are even more versions out there from different publishers in Europe and the US. I remmber Tial Trading, who had the publishing...

Re: Vic1001 game list

I ran the site through Google Translate, and the translation was pretty rough. These games appear to be type in programs from some sort of magazine, which Google translates as "BASIC Magazine". I think it might be a reference to Mycom BASIC Magazine, as described on this site: https://akao...

On archive.org, there's a couple of books from Compute! called the Commodore Collection. The site says C64, but the listings are for VIC too. Could these be what you're looking for? http://archive.org/details/COMPUTES_Commodore_Collection_Volume_One_1984_COMPUTE_Publications http://archive.org/deta...

I have enjoyed visiting the bombjack site, but unfortunately Compute!'s VIC-20 Collection is not available there. I think it was the last VIC-20 book that Compute! published, and the book contains no reprinted material from either Compute! Magazine or Compute!'s Gazette.

If only more people had felt that way 20 years ago, when they were throwing their 8-bit machines into dumpsters... :( Eerie that you should say that. Sadly, I was one of those idiots that did that, exactly 20 years ago, 1993. Computer, tape drive, tapes, cartridges, and books, all gone. :( :( :( I ...

Garden Wars was one of my favorite games as a kid, back when I had my VIC-20 (stupidly, I got rid of it and all my books and games in the early '90s). One neat trick was to hit the Run-Stop/Restore key when playing the game. Sometimes by doing that, you could turn your character into this unkillable...
