USB to datassette

Just wondering/daydreaming... I think it would be possible to use a PIC microcontroller to connect a PC USB port at one end and the Vic 20 datassette port at the other end and use the PC as a datassette emulator. Maybe the player could be the first dinausor to hatch and start looking around to find others. When they hatch, you could play as them, with different characteristics (jump, long tongue to toggle switches, fire resistance, swimming, etc)

New Platform game: input wanted

Hi, I'd like my next Vis-20 project to be a platform game, in the "Super Mario" style, but with an original story, different chatracters, etc.. No gore stuff please. I'm looking for ideas about: - Scenario: While the objective is always typically to complete some kind of run with obstacles...

A switch to go "non turbo" sounds like a good idea to me if you don't want to have to remove the cart to play regular games and other time critical stuff.

What about adding some buffers for the address and data bus for the 1MHz stuff, and detecting these address to launch an interrupt that would basically just wait for the data to be processed?
