Re: Got a New Game Cart: CLOSE ENCOUNTERS OF THE WORST KIND !!!

So, how many years ago did you find those? I haven't even seen a dot Gobbler on ebay in years. Chances of finding any of those other carts is very very low indeed. Three of the boxed games (albeit I had two of them already loose) and the two silver label blue carts came from a private sale in 2020....

Yes Fort Pierce. If you find any by Machine Language Games, they are somewhat intertwinned, bit of a story there (in fact the blue shell Amazing Maze in the photo is a MLG release).

Re: Got a New Game Cart: CLOSE ENCOUNTERS OF THE WORST KIND !!!

Yeah those paper labels weren't particularly sturdy. Thankfully most of mine are in decent shape, and OEM later swapped to using rubber based or metallic labels instead for a few of their popular titles. If I remember, I'll grab all my OEM carts (boxed and loose) and photo them up. Just to note, no ...

Re: 5 Ultra-Rare Games by "Aim Software"

Had all those in my watch list as well and saw them sold, had wondered

I've got a pile of unarchived other K-Tek and AIM software releases here that I never managed to preserve sitting here, if you're potentially interested in both acquiring and doing the backing up yourself.

Re: New Game: Emu's Massive Hunt (WIP)

Given Emu in general in the TV show, I'd been meaning to ask if the title was rhyming slang

Re: Cartridges!!!

I’m mostly about the games, there are a few utility carts in there (Vixen 16k expansion very handy for example, or Megacart, or Penultimate) but it’s about playing stuff heh. Been quite fortunate collecting wise that I’ve gotten them CIB along the way, the loose carts are at the bottom but there’s n...

Re: Cartridges!!!

Sounds good. I'll go through and see which ones I'm missing in my collection. BTW, I am proud to say I was lucky to have bought the Mega-Cart when it came out. I'm one of the early buyers (serial # 48 and 49). Did you get one as well? I do have one (some of my cart dumps are ON the Megacart!) but n...

Re: Cartridges!!!

I would say my favorate game carts in my collection were River Rescue, Submarine Commander, Robin Hood, Capture the Flag and Ghost Manor. Over the years I have been collection Carts like a madman and am close to owning every one. I'd say my rarest cart is Close Encounters of the Worst Kind. I'd be ...

Oh dear... I sold my complete copy for that price three years back... deluded. Then again a CIB copy sold last year for $11k.

Things such as that is why I rated the C64 version so highly. Not everyone agreed though.

Re: VIC-1001 main board

Mayhem, They certainly did make Early VIC-20 computers in Japan. It goes like this.. The VIC-1001 was created and sold in Japan by Tony Takai's team and being produced and launched in Japan, and then the order came down from the Commodore hierarchy (Most likely from Michael Tomczyk and Jack Tramiel...
