Re: Attic dive

Welcome :)

Polaris and the Xonox double enders are reasonably uncommon to rare territory, the rest are common.

Re: WTB: two pin power socket

This is the oldest VIC-20 PSU that I know of. AFAIK, it was provided with the VIC-1001, the early Japanese made VICs and the early (1981) US made ones. Not just early Japanese made VICs. My Japanese made PAL VIC-20 has a serial number of 5xxxxx (and I believe someone here posted another one recentl...

Re: Dig Dug PAL version

Not sure there is a PAL version, I don't know how many of the Atarisoft games were sold in Europe. You do see the multi language box versions which are the European release (as opposed to just the English only) but I've not seen all 12 games in that format in my travels.

I'll pop mine open and have a look at the chips, but I'm willing to bet the timestamps are going to be fairly similar...

Re: Interesting system variant

What's the serial number on yours?

My Vic-20 is the same, gold label, made in Japan, newer keyboard and motherboard, serial number 5xxxxx. Two prong power supply, but while it's 230V, it's in the same metal case that the very early power supplies used (such as those for the VIC-1001).

Re: Ultima - IT'S BACK... Race you to it!

No, price is deliberate, and insane. A complete version sells for around that price.

As for any game made that goes for that much, yes... I can think of two complete games that have sold for over $30k each at least.

Re: OEM carts

Complete and in good condition, you can probably hope for $75-100 at least. If you want to sell the Close Encounters at any point, let me know ;)

Sadly I can barely read that, any scan of a proper flat scan of it to include in GB20?

Re: VICE HELP!!!!

Yes, it's the most up to date. Real life swamps me, I'm hoping to try and complete the re-organising of GB20 by the end of this year, and maybe hand it over to someone else to continue.

Re: VICE HELP!!!!

Scorpion and Gold Fever are both .a0 and I still can't get them to work. As predicted, because they were cartridge images. If you ever see 20(00), 40(00), 60(00), or A0(00) in the file name or suffix for Vic20 images, then it's an indication of the memory location ($2000, $4000, $6000, $A000) you n...
