Re: Just got a VIC20, now what? :)

Yeah, one you can use for 3K, 8K and 16K, that covers pretty much all commercial software from back in the day.

Re: Trying to play Key Quest.

It may still want the RAM at block 5 (as it's an $A000 cart, I should know, I dumped it!), and you can't do that with the Vixen, I own one myself. Game was only released on cart afaik. Do you have a Commodore expansion? You can open her up, some of them have dips for setting which block(s) get the m...

Re: Behr-Bonz 2015

Man has a point, I used to get Atari 2600 homebrew carts sent in bubble mailers in the past, but after a couple of them got mangled and crushed to death when reaching the UK, it's box only from now on.

Re: Cannot load cassettes

Was gonna write some stuff but Beamrider covered it. Most likely, the tape deck needs a good clean on the read heads and a possible alignment.

Re: Rally X packaging - mock up?

In fact, more information has come forward in general to suggest that Commodore may not even have had an agreement with Namco to produce the home versions that were released in Japan. More perhaps possibly they just thought they could get away with it.

Re: Rally X packaging - mock up?

I've just corrected the links to be clickable, I don't think it allows third party showing like that. Anyhow, before seeing the photos, I was expecting you to say you were in Australia, there's a fair few examples of "different" artwork like that for certain Commodore released games (such ...

Welcome :)

Polaris and the Xonox double enders are reasonably uncommon to rare territory, the rest are common.

Re: WTB: two pin power socket

This is the oldest VIC-20 PSU that I know of. AFAIK, it was provided with the VIC-1001, the early Japanese made VICs and the early (1981) US made ones. Not just early Japanese made VICs. My Japanese made PAL VIC-20 has a serial number of 5xxxxx (and I believe someone here posted another one recentl...

Re: Dig Dug PAL version

Not sure there is a PAL version, I don't know how many of the Atarisoft games were sold in Europe. You do see the multi language box versions which are the European release (as opposed to just the English only) but I've not seen all 12 games in that format in my travels.
