I don't have the VIC floppy disc drive, just the tape drive. As for the line itself, I just trying entering into Vice and it accepted it without error. Perhaps you are using the wrong shortcuts for the commands? I tried typing the line by itself as written in the magazine text, and I still got a syn...

I was referring to GB20, as I understand it that's for Vice. Doesn't help me play Hardhat Climber on my real Vic20 without typing in the code. It's only 2 pages of code anyway, I've typed up larger programs before. I'm admittedly a little rusty on the graphical/sound areas of Basic, haven't u...

Hardhat Climber (BASIC) Syntax Error
I've trying to type the code for Hardhat Climber into my Vic20, (I have the data cassette deck to save it on.), but when I got to line 37 I got a syntax error. This line surpases the 80 characters/line limit, but I'm not exactly sure how to fix this. I'm typing the code in exactly as it appears in t...

Commodore/Atari Joystick on PC?
Atari & Commodore/Vic-20 joysticks use standard serial connectors, are there any windows drivers for using these on PC?

Computer Space Simulator
I'm trying to get the Computer Space (very first arcade game) simulator for PC working. Standard version "one click" version I've tried running the installers for both versions but both keep freezing on me at the point where it's trying to install a font used by the program. Anyone else ha...

Space Invaders
I remember having Space Invaders for my Vic-20 when I was a kid but I can't find any mention of the vic-20 version anywhere. I remember it was a cartridge game and I know it said Space Invaders on it, so it wasn't one of those knockoffs. Does anyone else remember having this for Vic-20??

PROBLEM SOLVED! I yanked the 6560-101 chip from the 2nd Vic-20 and put it into the first one in an attempt to revive it. That failed, but then when I concluded that the 6560-101 was not the problem with the dead Vic-20, I decided to pop the 6560-101 from the first Vic-20 into #2 and SUCCESS! Gorf no...

Different Boards Different Chips?
I'm looking at the boards of the 2 vic-20s I have. The first one is dead but the problem may be the chip in the metal cage, labeled MOS 6560-101 4681. The board is 324003, 1981. On the 2nd Vic-20, I can't find the board number, but it has the 4 pin power connector and the power switch that goes up/d...

That's how it looks to me in VICE as well. I could set up my VIC and check the version from the Mega-Cart but I'm pretty sure there's something odd with your VIC (or the cartridge). Clean cartridge connectors on both ends, see if that helps. To wear off oxidation plug in and pull out the cart sever...
