I used to get excited about new gaming hardware but not so much anymore. The last system I was truly excited about, the last one that made me feel like a kid at Christmas again, was the PSP. I've still got it and still play it. Our PS3, 360, Wii, and 3DS were all resold within a year of purchase. Th...

Re: VIC-VODER now shipping!

VIC-VODER is a new voice synthesizer for the Commodore VIC-20 / 64 / 128 featuring some of the latest advancements in speech technology, with a tip-of-the-hat to the first speech synthesizer demo in San Francisco from Bell Telephone Labs in 1939. The system is available to order right now. Complete...

I'm looking forward to seeing how the OUYA develops. It has the potential to be a fun and more open system than any of the recent or upcoming consoles from the gaming establishment. I'm not quite ready to spend $100 on one, mainly because I already have a pretty major backlog of games to play and do...

I'm always surprised that Avenger is omitted from so many "best of" lists for the VIC. It's a stunning Space Invaders clone for 1981 and still impressive in 2013. The Atari 2600 version is still a great port for its time, however I think VIC Avengers is even better. The first time I saw it...

LOL, my question was based on a combination of abstract curiosity and laziness because swapping those carts is soooo difficult. :D

I'm still learning about the VIC's memory nuances so all of the info provided is very useful. Thanks to all :)

The Ultimate Expander fills all 4 of the 8k blocks with RAM. The 3k Super Expander fills the 3 1k RAM blocks that the UE doesn't cover but it also adds a ROM in block 5($A000) which conflicts with the block 5 RAM that the UE supplies. You'll need a way to either disable the Super Expander's ROM or ...

Thank you so much for the excellent Ultimate Expander. I recently acquired a Cardboard 3s (with DIP settings for each of the 3 slots). Is it possible to have both the 3K Super Expander and the Ultimate Expander plugged in and usable at the same time, or do I need to keep swapping them out when I wan...

The Neo Geo X is basically a repackaged Chinese emulation handheld like the Dingoo. It runs the same emulators and the same ROM data. Someone even found copyrighted code in the Neo Geo X emulator back in December thereby tracing the emulator back to its source. Other than packaging and Neo Geo brand...

I'm testing things between 2 computers. I've marked dozens of favorites for my personal interest, but also to keep track of how many games I've tested.

How do I transfer my favorites from one computer to another?
