Thanks! I'm playing the fixed version of "The Dungeons" right now. It's a good game. I find movement confusing though. You can't tell which way you are facing. There is no compass. You can only see three walls, even if there are four exits....you don't know which way is which! An exit mig...

Rescue at Rigel and Star Warrior - Is Wikipedia Wrong?

According to the (never wrong ;) ) Wikipedia, "Star Warrior" the second game in the Starquest series, was also out for the VIC-20: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Warrior This came to my attention after reading the Rescue at Rigel Wiki here at Denial (where R@R was listed as "quite ...

That $69.99 Drindisti Sealed in Box? I made an offer for 27 bucks and the seller took it! 8) I also got a copy of Hellfire Warrior that is compatible with the Apple II and TRS-80 with 32K. So for now I am going to get to scanning in the thick Hellfire Warrior manual, which, by the way is in fantasti...

I see from other auctions that this cable is not directly compatible with the VIC: http://cgi.ebay.com/Commodore-64-128-VIC-20-Monitor-Cable-AV-A-V-Cable_W0QQitemZ170278575590QQcmdZViewItemQQptZVideo_Games_Accessories?hash=item27a564dde6 Can anyone confirm or deny? The one I bought works for me wit...

It's not really a solution using your current hardware, but I had some serious video issues with a failing RF modulator and saw a world of improvement after recently purchasing this new cable replacement that gets rid of the old coax and slider on the black box "TV/Game" method. It was 10 ...

I first heard the idea of slapping a Commodore logo on a wedge PC (Cybernet is not the first to release a machine with that form-factor) in the IRC a few years ago. Oh well - haha. A man can dream, can't he? :P I agree on your point of view: the C64 would have been just like this PC. But we s...

Again, this is more or less the exact same computer I reviewed back in 2008 where I said "this would be what a C64 could look like today" and gave the various reasons for it. I know it's just one little Commodore blog I run in the sea that is the interwebs, but I like to think that the guy...

Thanks for the ideas (and music) Pedro and Ghislain. There may well be more VIC-20 podcasts, it's just up to me to get up to speed enough on the topics to discuss them properly. I have installed a Skype recorder that I could use for a *joint* podcast if anyone is interested, though! Still need to te...

Yeah! My desire to get to the top made me do the same thing! I'm not sure how the inline VIC would work here. I know how to make it work when there's the actual code on screen, but not with a PRG. I'm not sure how it works either as the code thing makes more sense, but sure enough, up pops a minima...

Thanks Pedro! Glad you like the podcast.

Datapop is perfect/great for an intro. If you have the Robotic Liberation ST on hand I'd love it if you could send to robinson.mason AT swbell.net
