Yes, I want an RS232 adapter. I'm progressing in my work to build a simple ML BBS program on the VIC (recreating my work from 1982) and I'd like to use Leif's BBS gateway program - he recommends the VIC-1011A.

WTB: VIC-1011A

Hi guys,

Does anyone have one of these they'd part with? (gklinger, I'm thinking of you! LOL!)

If so, let me know the price and we'll set something up! :)

Thanks!

Success!!! I have a really big iron magnet that I had tried to clean up my screen with, but just made it worse. I found a post on the Interwebs that talked about how CRTs work a bit, and what the degausser is doing to the mat behind the glass. Turns out if I use the poles of my magnet, I can have a ...

cc65 and Compute!'s SCREEN-40?

I managed to get cc65 installed and running on my Mac (running 10.6) and everything works fine. I set up the vic20-32k.cfg file to work with my VIC plus a 16K ram expander (by setting RAM start to $11FF and RAM size to $4DFF). But I've got some BASIC apps I'm writing specifically to work with SCREEN...

Monitor repair in Toronto/Barrie area?

Hi fellow Canucks, Does anyone know where I could get my 1702 monitor properly degaussed in the Toronto/Barrie area? I tried to fix it by building my own electro-magnet, but I wound up pooching the screen worse than it was! I believe I need some actual skilled assistance here! LOL! If I can get it f...

Interestingly, I've been investigating building my own sky atlas software for the Mac (and Windoze and Linux) and half thought about putting out a version for the VIC! The part I'm researching right now is the math involved for translating the right ascension and declination values for stellar objec...

Re: Visible Solar System Bug?

I think you missed something in the instructions (page 7): The VISIBLE SOLAR SYSTEM contains detailed models of the planets Earth, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn. Mercury, Venus, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto are outside the viewing range of your starship. "outside the viewing range of your starship&qu...

Visible Solar System Bug?

Hi guys, I recently bought the VIC-1930 cartridge - The Visible Solar System. Seems to work excellently, except when in "P" mode (for Planets), I can only seem to toggle through Earth, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn using the "P" key. The instructions clearly indicate I should also be ...

The "Buy It Now" price of $50 seems to have been removed, making it a straight up auction. Just FYI!

Commodore 16 on ebay in Canada!

Just saw this for just $50 (US) plus $35 shipping. Too much for me to spend on a 16, but thought someone here might be interested...
