sorry for bouncing an age old thread but found myself looking at how to rip c64 tunes tonight and it seems there are a rake of tools for doing it, including a version of sidplay that tells you all the memory locations it uses when the tune is playing. My question is I have the source for sid vicious...

I am suprised this has not been picked up on anywhere (well a search only threw up this thread) but is this for real? Giana Sisters on the Vic http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bgTYLuCvzMA The resolution seems about right even if its 30 columns. and that scrolling looks pretty smooth to me. if this get...

There is still cydia distrubution. Apple may stop the official channels but they cant stop the unofficial ones. And it seems with a little work if you did get the C64 emulator for Iphone you can add new and better games just by copying the game directories, changing a set up file, dropping a new t64...

Vic 20 game maker

Going back to when I had my first Vic I used to buy virtually every game available and I remember something along the lines of a game maker where you could set out your screen, set a default path for enemies and sounds etc. As far as I can see it does not seem to have been dumped so just wondering i...

I suspect Jetpac was missed off for the simple reason Ultimate (who are now known as Rare) will not allow any site to carry any of their old IP. They still see every game as a possible remake (like Jet Pac on the 360)

took a look at it and it seems a definate possibility, just been stacked out with work at the moment and the last thing I want to do is come home and do more coding lol

When I get a bit more time I will take another look and hopefully get something running unless someone else wants to

Soccer Boss on the C64 is the prime candidate for a quick port, in basic and on a 40 col vic would probably run near enough straight away. All the Cult games on the 64 were in basic as well so plenty to choose from

Got mine today (serial #0083). Great work guys. Wonder how big this thing would have been back in the 80's. Would have probably needed a cooling fan too. :D Again great work!! Later, Getting excited now, had mine confirmed as #93 so cant be long till mine either gets here or is sent out :) Just nee...

Pedro, thats one of the reasons I started to look into this. The C64 motherboard has been cut up, ports removed and butchered to fit in there, much as most of Bens stuff is. The guy is a wizz at putting things in cases when they should not fit. Rather than hacking the function keys off and putting t...

Well there is a case for the keyboard that can kind of be used, its called a C64c :) As Carlsson says nothing can be done about the 6522 and 6560/1 but there are 65c02 chips that are a lot smaller and the roms can be put on smaller surface mount roms and the ram could use a single smaller chip if yo...

A standard reset button might be a possibility as well. I recently bought a VIC that's been modded in this way, so it can be done. I don't see any need to make the VIC smaller, though. As computers go, it's not that big. It fits quite nicely on my coffee table along with the datasette. The 1541 I k...
