Re: Prince of Persia
I still can't believe it! It never ceases to amaze me on what the Vic-20 can do.
Well Done!

Re: Assembler
Let's touch on what you are familiar with as you have programming experience. So you know higher level languages that means you understand basic concepts of loops and variables and subroutines, etc... Assembly is lower so a lot of what you know can translate well just think of it as programming in a...

Re: Line drawing algorithm
Nevermind, my memory is way off with my cycles and inner loops but Mike hit the nail on the head when I dug up the code.

Re: Line drawing algorithm
Mike has a pretty mean one with his Mini/Maxigrafik. I have one myself but it's both convoluted and needlessly big but I was able to get it down to under 15 cycles per pixel on average? Correction - I was way off closer to 70 cycles on average. Thanks Mike for clarifying. Believe there is line code ...

Re: CBM prg Studio
I used Wine and it automatically installed Mono (which I heard might not be advised) but it loads up and runs. It's been a while using it but once I imported a cbmprj file I was able to save my settings (emulator path and prj path) and build and launch in VICE with no problem. Haven't tried the debu...

Re: CBM prg Studio
Isn't it using the remote monitor protocol do it's stuff? In that case it should be totally possible to use the linux version of VICE - at least i don't see why not. For the life of me I can't get it to accept a path nor keep it saved. The minute I hit OK its gone again when I try build and run. Th...

Re: CBM prg Studio
I can confirm after finally getting around to it, that it does launch in wine with little issue.
The only thing to keep in mind would be that you need to load VICE in Wine too or at least have access to the EXE (if you have dual boot) as you cannot use a native one in Linux.

Re: Increasing the number of sound voices?
I have a similar question about digitized speech in small time slices. I am pretty sure there would be an audible 50/60Hz hum though.

Re: #FujiNet apps on a 5K VIC? Yes.
... unfortunately doesn't feature the Great Lakes. :( That is a beautiful conversion of the map. Considering the southern tip of Hudson Bay and the outlet of the St Lawrence, I don't think the largest great lake would be any larger than three pixels which wouldn't be worth the bytes. I've been away...
