Have you an idea/mockup on how the final version could be ? What do you mean? DC2N 3 is a dumping-only device that writes tape images to an USB drive. It also displays the signal read from a tape drive (in the same way as the well known recorder-justage tool) so that users can check if the dumping ...

I just mean there is high demand. I understand the time it takes to do something right. No worries. I just think that with some help it would all be simpler and more people would be able to enjoy the benefits of having a DC2N. A new prototype is fully functional and the new design seems future proo...

Heads up about preservation
Hi guys, I was wondering how many collectors would be interested in the preservation effort. Be aware this is a big committment: I am not talking about sorting out/augmenting Arma's archive or putting together a big zip file with hundreds of tape images whose source and integrity is unknown. Bo was ...

OK, this is a very tricky example, so that I will provide you with some additional information. If you load the two tapes in VICE (disable any memory expansion first), you will not notice any difference. Both of them will load without errors and apparently execute properly. Yet one of the CBM data b...

I'll answer with an example here. Load 3dmaze.tap ( NOT 3dmazegalactic.tap) from Arma's archive, which is the first game I fixed. Then get my version from http://www.luigidifraia.com/vic20/3DMAZE_fixed.zip and load it. Think of this happening with at least 100 other games... Btw, the file from Arma'...

This is the file I ended up with after joining together the two parts: http://www.luigidifraia.com/c64/_recovery/FRANK9_joined.zip all of the blocks are there but, as I said before, there are at least 7 (obvious) read errors (some others may not show up at all). It doesn't load of course, but I can ...

Is there any hope with the SEUCK tape? Would it be possible to still send this up? If you already tried to align and could not get better results, I may try to fix your TAP files rather than importing the tape by myself. To correct the errors, I need to compare this game against a working SEUCK gam...

If any of the tapes are still quite poor, let me know and I can mail them to you. Sorry about that! :( As far as I understand, you never managed to load the Motherhen game by yourself on a VIC20 from the tape. The tape itself contains different files and I am afraid the game was overwritten by the ...

If I get this working ok on my 1531, would just reporting the TAP images in question be enough rather than sending the tapes through - or would you prefer it in particular on the tape with the Motherhen file? (I don't mind sending - but wanted to check if this would be better for you) If you end up...

Yes, that's the version translated by Martin. It will do the job. Try to end up with thin bars and no scattering.fgasking wrote:EDIT - I assume this will be ok to use if I dump it down my MMC64 ... http://noname.c64.org/csdb/release/?id=49944
