Not long after I got my Vic I got a Super Expander, then not long after that I got a 3-slot expansion board with reset and a 24K cart for that, so I normally ran it with those.

Funny, I was playing Armor Attack via MAME and wanted to try and find an overlay since it's hard to play if you can't see where the city is. Yeah, if I was testing my RAM I think I might do it 1 bit at a time, running multiple passes with 0, 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, and 128 as my POKE value.

Why poke 100 into that spot? That only tests bits 2, 5, & 6. I'd poke 255 to test them all at once, or poke 15 one pass for the 4 low bits and 240 one pass to test the 4 high bits.

I'd vote to keeping it as Pac-Mac. There are tons of nearly free generic JAMMA cabinets out there that are much better suited to becoming MAME cabinets, and even though there are a zillion Pac-Man machines, it'd be a shame to destroy it.
