i found this: Date: 11/22/2000 at 12:12:26 From: Doctor Peterson Subject: Re: History of Order of Operations Hi, Brian. The Order of Operations rules as we know them could not have existed before algebraic notation existed; but I strongly suspect that they existed in some form from the beginning - i...

I mean, why not just do the operations (X, +, -, or whatever) as they occur in the formula (sequentially)?
you can answer that one yourself i think.

just take and equation and solve it using different orders of operation, and notice how many different answers you get.

i am with you ral-clan.

it might seem a bit expensive at first too many, but you have to take a look at what you are getting.

not just the software, but the box, label, menu, background music, etc..

in the end, it comes out to pennies a game!

Has any company ever used a third-party pack-in? I can't think of any examples. I think the Intellivision II came with Burgertime here in Canada. I agree, I think Gorf would have been a good selection... lots of different action. I think Omega Race would be a great choice to show that the VIC could...

My daughter just got a laptop, which will be easy for her to bring back and forth from our house to her mom's.

I prefer desktops though... easier to fiddle with the guts.

a fellow vintage computer collector in Ottawa, mentioned to me to turn on my old computers from time to time, as he said that would help keep the electrolytic capacitors from going kaput.

so, every 6 months or so, i try and fire up the ones i just keep on shelves.

for me, it depends on what kind of game it is.

for example, i play Treasure of Tarmin for the intelli. maybe once a year, but the session lasts several hours.

if i play something like demon attack, 10 minutes sounds good to me too
