Re: Bitshifter's Z-code interpreter

I think I fixed the <MORE> problem with a little hack. If anyone wants to test it:

Re: VIC-2000 Expander. Modern Power Using Retro Parts!

Hi Brad, Schema mentioned this post to me. I haven't logged in here for a while :) Cool project! I should be able to set you up with a monitor if you need one, but most likely I've just got spare working 1802s or something like that. I need to take inventory. I think I've only got one working 1084 l...

C-64 Minima Reloaded and iPhone version

I realized I never did a proper release of Minima Reloaded v1.2 back in 2006 when I made it (I see even GameBase64 only has v1.1) so here it is: http://noname.c64.org/csdb/release/?id=85739 I also (with the help of a friend) made an iPhone and iPod touch version called RPG Quest - Minimae. It's on s...

#30 of 45 arrived today! Brilliant package; I took the contents all out, then put it all back together, then had my wife watch as I took all the bits out again (I won't bother trying to re-write that to sound less rude). I explained that this was from the guy who mailed me the Denial newsletter out ...

Very cool! I would have preferred Dunjon 3D over a RQ sequel, but this is still very good news :)

(it's just that Dunjon 2 is about my favourite VIC game ever)

The boxed copy of Sub Hunter arrived today. The packaging looks great: cool solution to the box; it looks great on the shelf. The custom disk sleeve with silly disk handling precautions is fun too. The game is quite good too, but I already knew that. :)

Thanks for arranging that, Frank!

The "*" actually tells the disk drive to load the last program loaded from disk. If you haven't loaded one yet, then it defaults to the first one. I guess we're getting even further away from the original topic, but yeah, and to force the first file to be loaded, LOAD ":*",8 (an...

Although it was discussed elsewhere, I wanted to point out that the "commercial" game Sub Hunter has been released for free download now, while Psytronik continues to sell the very nicely presented version on real media. So it seems Psytronik is willing to let people make the game FREE (ca...

Just because you design games would not require you to implement them. At least not in a big company. Yes, I think Jeff could be an excellent designer in a company. All but the tiniest companies have designers as separate positions from the programmers. A typical designer has to do a lot of grunt w...

What's "Hummer"? Basically it's a game where you race a Hummer (those crazy huge SUV things) and it's based on the C64DTV hardware. I should add that it's a pretty bad game, but the design and hardware (particularly, the steering wheel) were outside out control, so we can only take a smal...

This thread has been a really enjoyable read, but I can't help but pick up on this one... Anyway, does this have anything to do with the VIC-20? I doubt anyone of us will get an occupation at a modern video game developer based on our homebrewn VIC software. Well... it WAS my homebrewn C64 sof...

Hi Frank, I blame Richard too :)

I would like a copy of the game, but only if you can take it out of Richard's pay ;)
