I think it would be better to develop a new Cart for the VIC that has the network layer and down embedded in it. That way you only need to write a program that sends TCP or UDP packets. This could be used for other programs as well as a Twitter client.

Gridrunner inside Gridrunner Revolution

I just purchased myself a copy of Gridrunner Revolution for PC. After playing the game it says table unlocked VIC-20. So I start a new game and there is an option to play the VIC-20 version of Gridrunner. The VIC version appears to have the same graphics but it has the music from the PC version and ...

I though that one of the main reasons for the larger screen was to make it easier for older people to read.

Looking at my DSlite I can see how people with vision problems might have trouble playing Sudoko on it.

Is it an ICE? In Circuit Emulator. As in you can load the code and step the machine through each instruction?

Seems like a good idea. Keep the list short at ten entries.

I altered the TOC. By removing it then creating a fake TOC inside another table. See if that looks better.

Hey! I finally sat down and tried MINIPAINT (in VICE). Here's the results of my 1 hour of use - drawn totally in MINIPAINT pixel by pixel: http://s1.postimage.org/CA09.jpg Mummy when I grow up I want to be an artist like ral-clan. That picture would look great in a Hobbit game. I must admit I never...

I don't believe technology is an end in itself. That's all.

I used Slackware for a significant time and some people in that community though that because they used this harder product they must be better. I don't believe that usage of technology makes me better than anyone else.

And people who really know computers can use any operating system or even computers without an operating system.

What operating system people use does not equate to their knowledge of computing.

I'm running 7 but not the release yet. I can't comment on snappiness since my computer is no slouch. Windows 7 runs great in 8GB of RAM :)

pfft... under the right conditions, the VIC could preempt too. I remember writing a toy application that did something like this. It was written in BASIC. It had two windows (Ok they were boxes) on the screen and in the right one it was printing primes. In the left box I think it was some sort of e...

I don't believe this is correct. Didn't the Mac crash with a picture of the Mac with an unhappy face? Because the Atari ST line crashed with bombs across the screen, later revisions crashed with mushroom clouds.

Sorry for the OT but doesn't the 1084 have composite inputs? It has Chroma and Luma inputs is there some way to plug composite into it that I don't know of? The wiki page on the 1701/1702 monitors shows a picture of a split chroma and luma input on one of those. Edit After googling for a bit I see ...

Green why I only had B/W :) I was on the odd occasion allowed to plug my VIC-20 into a colour TV. But my father converted an old small B/W set to allow the VIC-20 to display straight to it without the RF converter. Unfortunately the plug was loose and the signal would often get lost. Later when I bo...
