Ok, I uploaded a new version of Blue Star that handles the NMI. It's pretty ugly since I had to rearrange the room data to fit either side of $318-9, then point to a $40 (RTI) that already existed as part of the room data. But it works :) I also set the volume to 0 on the title screen to remove the ...

I've full and successfully tested "Blue Star" on MegaCart and i may confirm you that Blue Star will be present on the MegaCart in the TAPE/DISK section. Great! If you hit the [RESTORE] key, the game freeze, maybe something wrong in the music IRQ routines, do you think to fix it so i may u...

Then there was a game that I must have typed into the Vic 20 times from Your Computer magazine. I tried to find it in the World of Spectrum archives, but no luck. ...know where I can find the missing issues from 82-83? I have them in a box in my parents' attic... I found the game I was looking for....

There are no cheats to turn on and off... The source code is downloadable though so have at it :)
It could be tricky to fit back into 3.5k.

Has anyone finished this on a real VIC? I have one report of game completion in VICE, complete with a GIF of a pencil-sketched map, but that's it.

Wow! That's quite an amazing bit of information that C= power supplies did not come with plugs! A lot of electrical equipment in the UK came without a plug - it wasn't just Commodore being cheap. I think it was partially because the plugs are big and bulky. All plugs in the UK need a ground pin. It...

The new site makes the logo look distinctly shabby.
I chucked this together:

I could give it a try. It's not something I've done before but the process seems simple enough, and it looks like fun! I have access to some decent sound equipment.

Very nice! I liked the massive screenshot gallery. It's swung me from a potential multicart buyer to a definite multicart buyer.

Yes, something like the R4DS would be an awesome way to get games onto the VIC!

I think the answer depends on why you are re-writing the game. Is it for the journey or for the result? If it's just to have the game again, and YOU don't care how you get there, I suspect no-one else will (except perhaps Jeff :)). So just do whatever is easiest. If you're trying to keep the authori...

carlsson, the play area of Blue Star is all multicolour.
Thanks for the kind words.
I voted multicolor, but it was a tough choice. It depends what you're going for really. I've seen good and bad examples of both.
