Perhaps the renumber functionality of CBM prg Studio could be used, especially if a given loader is being built within a Windows, Unix/Linux, or macOS environment? -OGM

Re: In the making: Arukanoido – an Arkanoid clone
I've added directories "archive" and "arukanoido"; the latter containing your desired binaries. My brain refuses to work on this any longer. Eviction notices for my neighbours didn't change that. And they threw me back financially and every other way for a couple of months, so I...

(I lived in northern Santa Barbara county for 13 years, and used to commute back-and-forth to Marina Del Rey on weekends for graduate school; bummer I wasn't back into my VIC-20 "addiction" back then!) Oh, interesting. The commute must have been a killer. P.S. Watch out for major earthqua...

VIC-1110 servicing memory locations 40960-49151 (8K - DIP: 1000 )* --------- * memory locations not accessible from BASIC At the risk of being picky, block 5 is accessible by BASIC through the use of POKEs: it's just not usable by the BASIC interpreter for code by reason of being discontiguous from...

Re: Building a quality PSU
I've just remembered I had a homemade PSU at the back of the cupboard. The LM340 is rated at 1.5A, I wonder if I could replace that with an LM323 to increase that to 3A? I just came across this , and thought some might find it of interest: perhaps as a "one-off," "in-house" proj...

Re: Any interest? Final Expansion 3 (UK)
I'll be completely transparent, my friends: I am at an impasse as to whether I should buy a PU+2 , a wAxpander , or (now) an FE3 -- especially as it seems I would only really ever "need" one of the three. I am, however, much more interested in a VIC-1010 (or VIC-1020 ) configuration, using...

I realize you have already ordered a PenUltimate+2, but perhaps you might find this thread useful: "Ultimate Expansion" - new firmware for FE3.8bitDenial wrote: ↑Sat Mar 30, 2024 6:05 pm I SERIOUSLY can’t get my head around creating these “loader” things.

Re: Ohio-Indiana-Kentucky USA Vic-20 stuff
I'm looking at paring down my Vic-20 hardware a bit, but I'm not looking to sell. Is there anyone within commute distance of Cincinnati who would like some hardware? Ex: couple of Vics, Wico command control joystick and trackball, expansion boards, etc. I'm not going to trash it, but it might end u...

Well done, Michael--despite the technical difficulties giving you a very late start!
You should seriously consider giving it again, or even doing a YouTube version for us!

Re: Assembler
Happy "almost-end-of-March" out there! :D I am over halfway through Bruce Smith's VIC 20 Machine Code and feel like I have read an expanded version of Chapter 3 in my VIC-20 Programmer's Reference Guide , which has been beneficial, but certainly not of the magnitude I was hoping for. (Note...
