Re: Formula V20 '85

There's a bug where if you ended the world championships with 30+ points you should be first but the results page indicates that you're second.

This has been fixed and can be downloaded from the project page on itch.io

Re: Formula V20 '85

Great game, Huffelduff. Fully agree that it makes you really feel the speed. Maybe too demanding with the tires? (so far I haven't been able to finish a race without bursting them :D ) Nice detail the Team selection screen. The colourful car reminded me the old F1 Benetton team... Cheers Yeah Benet...

Re: Formula V20 '85

Really nice. I've not finished a race yet, but getting the hang of it. There's always a car on the bends so if you slow down before you get to one it's easier to avoid a collision. This feels like a game where a bit of practice yields the results. The audio works really well, that engine noise is n...

Re: Formula V20 '85

Yes slowing before the bend helps a lot. It's a fun game! :) I found a bug (I think!). I finished all 4 races in the championship in first place (I had 36 points), yet my final standing was second in the championship. You are indeed correct. That will teach me to fiddle at the last minute. Anyhow I...

After I saw Monza I thought that I'd better do one as well :D
You're mentioned in the documentation of Formula V20 btw.

As Andy pointed out: You nailed the feel of the original.
Absolutely great work.

Re: MegaVIC

Hi OGM, Actually, I'd rather it ran on my own chip, the 768R32 ;-) 32-bit data bus, 26-bit address bus, 16 registers, SP, LP. WDC meets ARM. :-) (Interestingly, Bill Mensch pointed customers asking for a 32-bit 65xx chip to ARM, according to a clip on a recent video posted by The 8-Bit Guy.) Altern...

Re: MegaVIC

...and so I put the MegaVIC aside. I can't deny I'm a little sad about that. Hi Merytsetesh, I checked the videos. The Elite object rotations are silky smooth. Very nice. Just a thought: It seems you're half way to a Pixelvision or Tic80 type system. So the MegaVIC can be born as something like tha...

Re: Assembler

Hi all, Everyone has been giving quite good recommendations, so I guess I would suggest someone who is interested in assembler try all of them and then they have to figure out which one works for them. For myself here's my suggestion for starting off with assembler on the 6502: Book - 1985 Assembly ...

Re: New Game: Murderlize all Humans! - Vic20 +16k

Portal 2 (my favorite game of all time). I didn't go on to play Portal 2, there were new mechanics and I felt that compromised the simplicity of the first (get from one end to the other using just the portal gun). Maybe I will one day and maybe I'll really enjoy it. I think you would enjoy it immen...

Ed for Prophet 5 is an upcoming editor/librarian for the Sequential Prophet 5 (and Prophet 10) Rev. 4 analog synthesizer. The original Prophet 5 (1979-1984) and the VIC-20 (1981-1985) were contemporaneous products; but as far as I know, they never spoke, not in any serious way. The latest Prophet 5...
