Re: Tax man for the Commodore PET

I can speak for myself. look carefully at your reply: "You want a honest opinion? O.K. - this program is just a collection of INPUTs, PRINTs, IFs and DEF FN's that don't serve any conceivable purpose, and which neither would qualify as game. Boy, if you really want to become a programmer - rega...

Re: How to run Super Expander in WinVICE?

The cartridge dump of SE on zimmers is uncompressed. Nothing for 7zip to work with. In VICE, enable a +3K RAM expansion (Settings > VIC20 settings ...: 3K (block 0) and press OK), then attach the *.prg file as cartridge (File > Attach cartridge image ... > Generic image: select "Super Expander...

It's coming from C:/users/appdata/roaming/vice/vic20.vsf also, vice keeps shifting my options for the vic 20 back to unknown each time i reset the emulator via alt+f8. Re: Chuck Peddle passes away

The scars never really heal, grief stays forever but we can cope with it. The world today is full of death and pain but we can take heart knowing that the dead will be reunited with us eventually. I will quote no scripture for this, as i want to remain compliant with the site rules but i know that h...

Found a curiosity while browsing Archive.org

In compute issue 32, there is an advertisement for something called the Cardaptor/1 that allows Atari VCS games to be played on the vic.

was it ever released or is it vaporware? If it was released, can someone post an image?

any other computers capable of running it? ti-994/A, COCO? Dragon 32/64 (i have no qualms about using monochrome if it speeds up the gameplay, my only concern is control and visuals, i don't want to sacrifice graphical quality if i don't have to) The issue at hand doesn't become any easier for any ...

Re: Games we want to see

It could, but it wouldn't look great as the CPU isn't powerful enough. Take a look at the C64 version and think blockier with colour clash. I imagine the frame-rate would be similar as the Vic doesn't have sprites (which I assume they used to draw a few things) but has a lower resolution and slight...

I see it this way: 32K ram expansion, PETSCII graphics for the ships. the computer would rapidly flash border colors for the death star explosion. i'd be willing to make it, but i'd need another programmer (...
