Re: Sphere-1: First true personal computer?

There is something to be said about the additon of the qualifier "Of Note" to any statement like this. Such as the first Video-Game, well there are plenty of contenders but the first one to sell in reasonable number and bring about use of the phrase Video Game is PONG, so PONG is the first...

Re: Commander X16

All you need is the Vic 20 😘 Ah but the Vic isn't Retro, it's just old :D Though seriously I don't like they way they don't seem to have given much thought to game controllers. This is one of the MAJOR problems with 8/16 bit computers. A 3 button DB9 based port which has the same map as a kempston ...

Re: Halloween Game Release: It Came From the Grave

Just had a good go at this after seeing it on the releasing page. I've only managed to get up to 50%, and only just after about 30 playthroughs had it deliver an unwinnable screen. https://i.imgur.com/fNQgj3p.jpg Dunno how to avoid this unless the vic has to calculate if there is a route and not put...

Re: SD2IEC-Ready Games Collection (1986 onwards)

Working on the next release, so if anyone could help checking the list, correcting information if you know it's wrong, and let me know of any games which are missing, that would be grand, just drop me a pm. Especially if mike could help with the years for the games in the mikes games collection. Cur...

Re: Games we want to see

I've been playing around making sprites in Paint Shop pro. Would like to make a Japanese style side-scrolling shoot em up in High-Colour mode but I barely know anything about Basic nevermind assembler which would probably be needed. But I can make mock-up pictures. (Don't think I have the colours of...

(C)1894 Wow didn't realise the VIC was that old.

What kind of crazy person drives a motorbike the wrong way around Silverstone while the Grand Prix is on?

Re: Biathlon

Just trying out this game, it is quite pretty and has the nice rendition of chariots of fire at the start, but as people have said it's pretty unplayable I've managed to get up to 20 speed then it drops down for no reason and I can't get it back up. There's probably quite a few games that could do w...

Re: *SECOND PRINTING NOW AVAILABLE*: REALMS OF QUEST V (Digital version available July 1 2019)

Hmm, not too happy about a second edition with more content. That kind of de-values the first edition. Hopefully every customer will at least get a digital download of the the second edition or maybe an option to "upgrade" the original box to the second edition for a small fee... I know t...

Also will make a difference for TV standard and what kind of power supply they will need.

Re: New Release : BLUE STAR

Saw the 9.99 range on the Future is 8-bit

So since I had all the parts I remixed it into a cartridge cover

If you think about releasing it on cartridge, though the game may be a bit small for that I guess.

Unless an intro, a boss battle and ending are added :)

Re: Lost software releases

Doesn't this forum host files already? I mean I had got my collection ready to host on Mega but was able to list it here as an attachment.

Added Planet X1 to my collection/spreadsheet.

If you have any more 1986+ software that needs to be added I'd like to get my hands on it if you could help.

I clapped when I saw that thing I know!

And no offence to 'Fire' but I did think that looked a bit simple for a commercial big box release.

Have you checked my sd2iec compilation? http://sleepingelephant.com/ipw-web/bulletin/bb/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=9344 (Link edit by Joshuadenmark, for current domain) there are some still missing from that though I tried to track down most. I went through every announce to make the spreadsheet as we...
