Denial

No noticeable excess heat from RAM or any other chips after being on for 30 minutes. There is one chip that is about 3 degrees F warmer than the other (measured by thermometer). But I don’t think that is a large enough difference to indicate a failure.

Unfortunately I do not get a basic prompt, so I can’t run anything that requires a Sys input. Penultimate doesn’t get to the selection screen anyway.

Ha, actually the item you linked to is for a Hamsoft lot ($350) ... way too rich for me. This I got with “The Interface” for $70. However, it only does Amtor, which is not as very popular digital mode nowadays. So I am still in the market for a reasonably priced Hamtext so I can do RTTY.

I picked this up on eBay and can’t find it on any cartridge lists. Is it rare and should I dump the rom? I also have the doc for it.

BTW, I will also use this thread to put this out there... I am in the market to purchase or trade for a Hamtext cartridge.
