Okidata 10 Color printer for free

This printer was in a lot of commodore stuff I picked up locally a while ago. I powered it up and put it in test mode. I does print. It prints on regular paper, but uses some sort of plastic ribbon, not ink, to transfer the characters. Not sure what that technology is called. It is in the original b...

Very nice! The internal picture shows the metal plate around the switch and joystick removed. Did you replace it later? That area is kind of tight, and I had some trouble getting it to fit in mine: http://home.alltel.net/bf63349/vic20c2.jpg I had to use the dremel quite a bit, and accidentally made ...

RAMlink manual? I need one

Hi,
Does anybody here have a manual for the CMD RAMlink?
I bought one with a huge lot of Commodore stuff last week, and
although I've got it to work, a manual would help me find
its full potential.

I will pay for even a xerox copy stuffed in an envelope!

Let me know.

Thanks!
Brian

Yes, I can ship anywhere. I will change the auction if you want to bid. I block outside-USA bidders so they will contact me first. Since the us post office ended the non-airmail option, costs went up dramatically. I do not want any sticker shock when the auction is over. I am off tomorrow, I will ta...

Which Commodore printer is easiest to maintain?

Hi, I've accumulated several Commodore printers, and even 1 or 2 commodore compatible ones. I'm looking at thinning out the herd. Of the Commodore brand printers, which is the best to keep around, based on: 1. find new ribbons. 2. doesn't break down, or is easy to fix. 3. quality of print. I don't p...

Vic books for sale

Hi, Thinning out my collection. I never use these books, as they cover subjects I'm not interested in or are in other books. Nothing rare or special, but maybe you don't see them everyday. The 'mastering the vic' has some loose pages, but I think its all there. Here's a picture: http://good-times.we...

When they become obsolete or fail, they'll take up extremely little space in a landfill, which I think is very important to consider. Thats very true, and yes, very important. However, they are very easy to loose track of when they are that small. "Nobody move! I dropped the movie on the carpe...

It is just an 'adapter' so the smaller cr motherboard can still be attached
to the case in the original, non-cr motherboard mounts.

@Jogi: Nice pictures, thanks for posting the links!

Very early Vic-20 has different board than I've seen before

I had a pile of vics in the corner waiting testing, I won some auctions earlier this summer. One was a pet-style keyboard, so I opened it up first, and found a motherboard that I had never seen before. It had a copyright date of 1980, and the 6560 had a date code of 1980. It didn't work at first, bu...
